Subj: Mayor's Minutes [RE: Carenos' Identity, Orphanage Donation, Grats Holoni, Duskruin, and Blood Testing.]

A Public Notice, written in pale ink on a glossy black parchment and posted within the Lobby of the Moot Hall; the Notice is dated for the 21st of Olaesta, and reads as follows

Esteemed Citizens and Friends of the Landing,

I wish to inform that received a missive the other evening from Commander Caleb Gravell of the Silver Shields of Immuron regarding a request I had made prior, and the response reads as follows:

“After review of your request for information, we have sent word to clarify. Lord Carenos Sorrells has been confirmed dead for nearly two years now, having perished with his two young daughters in a tragic fire that claimed their lives and estate. Please be advised whomever you hold in your custody is subject to the laws of the Protectorate of Wehnimer’s Landing.”

I realize that suspicion has been raised by some regarding the origin and authenticity of said document, especially given certain past experiences; however, I should hope to allay those suspicions by reminding that Sir Cryheart Thaxin — a man of repute and a native of Immuron himself — has verified that the seal and documentation seem legitimate by his own estimation and experience. I will seek further clarification on the nature and reliability of this confirmation, but know that this development does not change — nor dissolve — the charges against the man we hold in custody regardless of his identity.

In light of both that and the fact that they have entrusted this decision to me, I have decided to recommend to the Council that we proceed with the trial of the individual who may or may not be Carenos. Such is our right as a Protectorate of the Turamzzyrian Empire, and I have complete confidence in the efficacy and fairness our courts and in the wisdom of the Honorable Judge Renpaw to render an impartial and just verdict. It may take some time before the trial can properly proceed, for aforementioned reasons, but I will keep you updated as I have more information.

In other news: For safekeeping, Maiden Tyrrah has kindly entrusted to me a collected donation totaling one million silvers, to be passed over to Surofee to supplement funding for the Wellington Orphanage; I would like to personally thank Lady Tyrrah for her continued efforts and support of the Orphanage, as well as many others, and I am greatly pleased to see its continued success.

I should also like to recommend that any who cross paths with High Lady Holoni wish her a hearty congratulations for recently completing her training. If you or someone you know has also recently completed their training, do feel free to inform me that I may offer them my congratulations as well.

In the coming week, I will be visiting Duskruin for the purposes of intensive training, in order to keep myself sharp and well-prepared against any potential threats to our town; I still remain a willing defender of the Landing, and will strive to stay as prepared as possible on that front. Be assured that I will be in contact [ESP Globally] should anyone have anything urgent they need to discuss or report, and I will be checking in on matters periodically and able to return at a moment’s notice if need be.

Lastly, I have a small personal request: Tonight, on the Day of the Huntress at around ten in the evening [10pm EST], give or take — I will be seeking out a number of individuals with some talent in haematology (or simply an unhealthy curiosity and/or propensity for volunteering to be poked by needles) to perform some blood testing on a sample, if any are interested. Feel free to seek me out if so. Given this and some other matters that may possibly occupy my time, I will be holding Office Hours a bit later in the evening should anyone need anything.
