Some catchup summaries from the last two rounds of RP!

Leyan (three nights ago)

-Dennet had spoken with Landing folks in Moot Hall to inform them that the Outpost’s expansion was proceeding and that the Mayor and militia Captains would be given access.

-He then fielded questions from the group. Though unfamiliar with Scar when asked about him, he was nonplussed and unsurprised, saying the Kestrels were no strangers to enemies and that Drandea (his mother-in-law, so not a Kestrel) has attracted unsavory types.

-Dennet also didn’t recognize the girls in the locket Maylan found.

-He expected more questions and called it disappointing when nobody asked any, leaving the group to speculate that he wanted a certain question and to ask what it was. Dennet said the time had passed and that unlike others he has nothing to hide, and departed for the night.

Day of the Huntress (last night)

-Dennet knows about the “secret” research that the Landing folks were conducting with the blood sample from Drandea and expressed disappointment that he wasn’t asked and wasn’t trusted. “So I ask, you show me the courtesy and respect next time, when it comes to matters of my family… You ask me.”

-Dennet’s wife Reannah is ill, but lesser plinite (e.g. from the Confluence) is offering some relief to her. [I’m not sure exactly what the effect is; that part of the discussion happened before I got there.] Symptoms:

Dennet says, “Sometimes sores form along folds in her skin. Armpits, neck, knees. Sometimes they bleed, for awhile.”
Dennet says, “She has, although more rarely, suffered from an addled mind.”
Dennet says, “Confused on her surroundings.”
Dennet says, “She…more often than not, remembers Drandea.”
Dennet says, “Who…I suppose in it all, has a purpose.”

And as for when she got sick…

Dennet says, “Reannah’s father and wretched mother…lived in Immuron.”
Dennet says, “Her father was a member of the Silver Shields.”
Dennet says, “Her father suffered a fatal, yet accidental injury during one of tournaments of the Feats of Rallick’s Field.”
Dennet says, “Reannah and our son Cyph, traveled to Immuron for a little over a year, to help Drandea during her time of mourning, and eventually, they all came back together.”
Dennet says, “Within just two months of Reannah’s return, she grew sick.”
Cryheart asks, “Anything occur within those two months after she got back?”
Dennet clenches his jaw.
Dennet looks over at Cryheart and shakes his head.

-Dennet says he is here to serve the Hall and save his wife, and this assignment he was asked to do allows him to hopefully do both.

[Note: Leafi thought this conflicted with what Cyph had said a while back about Dennet “demanding” this assignment, so she asked about it after Dennet left, but Ephya said that Dennet had denied it and said Cyph was lashing out. Raelee further elaborated that both versions of the story could be true, saying that the need for a position can be stated and one could express a strong interest, even a demand, but ultimately the Archmagister gives the order.]
