Ael’venar Celebrates Yrsael’wan
The Sylvisterai of Ael’venar are pleased to announce a celebration of the Sylvan arts festival of Yrsael’wan on October 4-5. Whether you are of the Sylvisterai or not, all are welcome to take part!
The festival will take place at the encampment of the High Council of the Sylvisterai in the Wild, which can be found off of the Gyldemar Road outside Ta’Illistim. (Lich room 35460, or official room u13048003)
All times are Eastern.
Saturday, October 4
Noon-5pm: Market stalls may be set up to share and sell your crafted wares!
3pm: Nilandia hosts an exhibit and discussion of yrsaelan carvings at the heart of the Yrsael’wan festival. Yrsaelan, carved from naturally downed trees, explore the many dualities in nature and Sylvan life.
6pm: Aihan hosts a lecture on Saelvran, or the Art of Sustenance. They will discuss Sylvan cuisine and the ingredients used in Sylvan cooking.
8pm: Fehala and Aihan present a feast of traditionally prepared Sylvan foods for all to enjoy.
Sunday, October 5
Noon-5pm: Market stalls are once again welcome for selling your crafted wares!
3pm: Riend hosts a basket weaving competition. Using the provided materials, weave the basket of your dreams! Everything will be provided!
6pm: Gather to take part in a discussion of the crafting creative process. Bring an item you have made or designed, and share how the design came to be!
8pm: Fehala hosts a sharing of hepta’ych verses, a poetic form unique to the Sylvisterai.
