DUISKRUIN NEWS: PM Wyrom, via Discord around noon, talked about the silver drain from the new Event Boxes at over 12 billion for the Duskruin Event. He also mentioned that the amount of loot going out was less, and counts the new Duskruin Rewards options as the reason. There were a few more interesting Duskruin/wealth-related comments he left:

Between EVENT BOX 1 & 2 and the prize pile, we’re approaching 12 billion. I don’t see the EVENT BOX doing much more though.
Also, the loot out this Duskruin was lessened and it didn’t do as much as last August’s run, so it’s not a massive amount of silvers in this time around.
Silver is a tough thing to measure like that. The wealth gaps in GS are pretty big. I’d say you have roughly 10% of the population who will never gather a million silver.Then you have like 75% of the game who will make millions and spend it all, all the time. And then 10% is extreme wealth that reminds everyone that silvers need more value, but don’t actually spend much silver. FInally the upper 5% who live up in the DragonSpine that actually run Elanith.
Duskruin does change some of the wealth around. Some players who don’t have the resources to gain wealth in game can at Duskruin. And honestly, when Duskruin first came out, that was the point of it all.
The loot doesn’t get worse, I think as the years go on, everyone is getting numb to it.And outside the silver impacts, that’s another reason why I wanted to change things up with it.
