DUSKRUIN NEWS: While we have not seen The Wheelbarrow of High End Thingies at Duskruin, Wyrom is reconsidering pricing for August in the self knowledge spell items (and martial knowledge, self-mana), including the possibility of pricing by spell or general tier of spell. He’s making no promises for August at this point, except the current pricing structure for these items will not be returning. Here are details of his thinking process:

We haven’t even put out the wheelbarrow, but I can already say that this will be the last run of SK, SM, and MK at the current offerings. I agree with Leafiara that it needs to be pulled apart a bit and not all the same costs. Like 101 should not cost the same as 215.
Rank 3 of headbutt should not be the same as rank 3 of a martial stance.
I’d fix this now and maybe delay SK, SM, and MK, but I don’t want to upset anyone since a lot of planning goes into it all. And that kind of goes back to why there are delays to getting these out. We don’t have a team of people doing these things. GS has one employee over the game. Most my GMs have day jobs or tasks at home, so time is limited for them too. There were plans to update it since August, but I swear to you, August to February happens in a week.

I know if I pivot and change MK pricing to a ranked pricing or change SK/SM pricing based on spell or power, I will be eaten alive, even it it’s cheaper.
As a guy, playing a guy, playing a zombie, being eaten alive keeps me up at night.

And the next day:

Wheelbarrow is likely only approved as is per run. I think after this run of Duskruin, I need to do some serious work on how things are priced, worded, and offered.

But to answer as clear as I can right now, I can’t guarantee everything comes back. Consider the wheelbarrow a test in unlimited price matching for a single auction. If nothing sells, it will get evaluated to come back, if a small number sell, we’ll probably adjust some pricing on it, and if a large number sell, it will likely be the last time it’s offered. It’s not that we’re trying cause FOMO or scarcity, it’s just trying to evolve the game without taking things too far. We did this with SK during the real early days of Duskruin. I sold SK for the insane amount of 300k bloodscrip. Average bloodscrip return was about 127 per run, we didn’t think more than a couple would sell at that price. We ended up selling 13, which really caused some turmoil behind the scenes. And dating all the way back to the debut year, we tried the crazy RotNerve staff for 50k bloodscrip.
Tiering out MK is probably more likely because it’s still pretty new. I don’t think things like 215 will benefit from tiering, just putting that out there.

And previous leadership would say one being out there was too much. And that’s why a lot of things never existed. Like scripted items allowing flares.
