NEWS: GM Zissu announced new Spell Specialization books and enhancives can drop as rare treasure for any applicable spell (it is random). The books are character attuned and will be a spell circle that the adventurer knows at least 30 ranks in. Spell specialization enhancives may have multiple spells, but will be from the same circle. And now we know where Hoorne found his mystical new treasures, by looting 3 kobolds in a trench coat.
Spell specializations will now begin to appear as part of the treasure system. While still rather rare, spell specialization enhancive items and spell specialization spell books have a chance to drop from treasure.
Spell specialization books have a small chance to appear in treasure chests. They can appear randomly (any applicable spell) while character unattuned, or slightly more frequently attuned to the character with a spell circle that character has learned at least 30 ranks in.
Spell specialization enhancives now generate as part of the pool of enhancives within the treasure system. Spell specialization enhancives may have multiple spells, but items should contain spells from the same circle.
Spell specialization can stack up to +50 for a given spell, but only 25 of that may come from character knowledge gained from spellbooks. The other 25 may come from enhancive items.
You can see your spell specialization ranks by using the SPELL SPECIAL verb.
NOTE: These enhancives will not generate from the Duskruin item rewards during this run.
