in paid-events CategoryAll, the Folded Lotus this year has some new colors of paper and origami kits, as well as new patterns available. However, due to the importance of implementing and/or fixing several important systems (such as the auctions and mounts), we were unable to get to the planned origami expansions for Rumor Woods.
Rather than rush this and put undue pressure on me and my marvelous coder, we are letting you know now that these have been pushed back to Ebon Gate.
Rumor Woods is still a great time to unlock the skill, get patterns and other skill advancement slips, and of course, to stock up on paper!
While we typically don’t tease things that aren’t ready, I did feel I owed you at least a small glimpse at the planned expansions, because I want you to stay excited!
A (probably) penultimate skill level, Teacher, that will allow you to teach some origami skill levels to those who have unlocked the skill
Some unlocks that will allow you to “glue” a folded origami object together, making it so you cannot unfold it. Why? Well, this gets it into a state where other things can happen…
Unlocks to apply to your glued object. For example, turning it into something compatible with the Covert Creatures costumes, or turning it into a hangable ornament for solstice trees, etc. Other items under consideration would be compatibility with charms, a jewelry version, and so on. While initially it will probably be only 2-3 items, once the system is in place, it will be easier for me to expand.
So, stock up on this year’s paper colors, snag the new patterns, and get your friends to unlock origami and get in on the folding! And please, be kind and understanding? It’s been a really busy year, and we want to do this right and not rushed.
