RUMOR WOODS NEWS: PM Wyrom set out an old jouster NPC at the #RumorWoods Junction (Lich room 27990) who will exchange 25 markers directly for 7,500 raikhen. Limit of one per character to obtain this quick currency, plus a head full of experience.

in Paid Events CategoryIf you haven’t caught up on the [Rumor Woods] Racing thread, no worries, but I will be releasing an NPC this weekend that will allow you to exchange 1 unused/fresh silver marker (25 entries) for 7500 raikhen and a very (very) full head of exp. You can only do this once (per character) and this is a trial run to see how this sort of thing is received by all of you. I will include all the pertinent details about it before he is set out into the wild. This system is modular, so what you see at RW might not be what you see at future events if we continue to do this.

Oh yeah, I never did say the exp amount here. It’s 5,000, so it’s giving you 200 exp per “run” it’s replacing.
Going to see how this goes. I think I can have it check multiple different item types fairly easy. There are some hiccups that I tried to solve, but I figured there were too many edge cases that weren’t worth delaying it anymore. For example, if you use a registered marker, it won’t work. It needs to compare directly to the store version. I can do some work there, but it’s not a common thing. Plus, the goal is to still use one from the store and not somewhere else.
