The storyline, North by Northwest has officially ended. What originally was designed to be a few months, lasted a year and a half, but still needed to end at some point to provide some measure of bookends. With the ending, Darkstone Castle is now moved to the Bleaklands, which are accessible via a portal in the valley of Melgorehn Reach’s shadow. Octaven has lost her magic and is in Landing’s custody, and the artifact known as the Talon of Toullaire has been shattered, its fragments send in countless directions to who knows where. While some things end, many things are just only beginning. There’s several story facets I did not get to fully flesh out or wrap up during the storyline, such as things with Faireve, or Elidal’s parents, or even several of the supporting advisors around the soon to be Baron such as Aronia or Iliyaas. But the story itself was not to be their ending, but a starting point for some. Now more will evolve not only from the Barony of Darkstone but I have several new NPC’s and updates planned for Wehnimer’s Landing itself.
With that said, I would open this moment up for some feedback. I won’t ask specific questions. Feel free to comment or email me directly. It can be on the final chapter, it can be on the storyline as a whole, or it can be any sort of comment or feedback you want to give. But note, my main focus going forward for awhile will be smaller time frames, smaller stories. There’s a lot that can be told in smaller doses than year+ long events.
