More Updates to Player Customizations System – January 2024

UPDATE: GM Yusri announced that the next step in the Player Customization System is live. It includes these spells/abilities in the CUSTOM command: Traveler’s Song (1020), Blink (1215), Spirit Guide (130), Aid the Fallen (1613), Transference (225), Nexus Gems (325), and Familiar Gate (930). Details, and notes about Floating Disks:

The following spells and abilities have now been converted:

Traveler’s Song (1020)
Blink (1215)
Spirit Guide (130)
Aid the Fallen (1613)
Transference (225)
Nexus Gems (325)
Familiar Gate (930)

Use the CUSTOM verb to manage any customizations you have for these (and any other supported) spells.

Additionally, the behavior of custom Floating Disks was changed to be more sensical and match older behavior. INCANT 511 should once again reflect a custom Floating Disk you have active, regardless of your profession. It is no longer necessary for Wizards to explicitly cast on themselves to get their customized disk.

In short:

If you have an active custom Floating Disk, you will always receive it. Otherwise:
Wizards doing cast PLAYERNAME and all non-Wizard characters will receive “the PLAYERNAME disk”
Wizards casting on an appropriate gem (as per the Wiki page) will receive a custom disk related to that gem.
Wizards obtaining a disk from any other source will receive a random fancy disk frequently based off of their elemental attunement. (as per the Wiki page)

Lastly: There’s some behind-the-scenes system changes to simplify future additions to the system. These should be invisible, but if you notice anything odd about customizations or a spell that can be customized please BUG them as normal. Thanks!
