HSN Premium Edition 2023: Revamped Premium Spell of the Month

HOT SUMMER NIGHTS PREMIUM EDITION: GM Quilic announced a revamped Premium Spell of the Month. Your old item will turn into 3 charges of Astral Vault. Pick up your new item at the Prestidigitorium on Tigerlily Ave in Mist Harbor. There’s a long list of changes: The spell of the month is now random, will include only buffs and utilities, and will not be the same for everyone. (You may need to use it first to get it to work as expected.) Details:

The Premium Spell of the Month (PSotM) item has had a much needed facelift. The system was intended to be a way to try out new spells, but unfortunately it got stale pretty quickly for various reasons. It only had 1x and 2x a day varieties. But now we have a new version! Your old PSotM item will turn into Astral Vault and have 3 charges. It will no longer be scripted. It won’t be rechargeable. It won’t be attuned. The old item is just a way to try out the new Astral Vault spell a few times. It should persist. The new PSotM item will have the following updates!

– RUB will always be the activator.
– The spells will draw from only buffs and utilities, no more spells of war.
– The spell is randomly selected from a pool of spells for each character.
– There is no longer a set spell for everyone each month, it’s completely random now.
– Higher level spells will be either 1x/day or 2x/day depending on the spell randomly selected.
– Lower level spells can be used 3x/day, 4x/day, or 5x/day depending on the spell randomly selected.
– If you dislike the spell you got, or just want something different, you can INFUSE it up to 3 times a month to randomly select a new spell.
– LORESONG, RECALL and Elemental Detection should all give you accurate information on what spell your item has and how many times it can be used.
– Some bugs that existed since 2013 have been cleaned up with the system.

The PSotM is located in the Prestidigitorium on Tigerlily Avenue.
