DRAGONFLY FESTIVAL NEWS: GM Xynwen talks a bit about the free DragonFly Festival (July 21-23) in Cysaegir. First seen in 2007, it is being revived and revitalized to mark the 20th year the Aelotoi have been in Elanthia. Expect a light event, mostly pretty fluff, with some merchants, shops, and items which have not been seen for years. Link to original Fest: https://bit.ly/3PPtSzT Complete info from Xynwen:

Not really a teaser, but figured I’d share some info about Dragonfly Festival for those who missed it the first time around in 2007.

DFF is a small, short event with several silver-based shops. We have taken most of the original shops, updated to modern standards, and we’ll reopen those. In addition, we’ve “refreshed” a handful of shops, adding new/changed wares, and there are a couple brand new shops too.

DFF is in Cysaegir, with the shop portals being scattered within the town itself (vs its own festival grounds), some at ground level and some in the treetop areas. For Thandiwe and me, the original DFF was our very first festival as newbie GMS; I think we may have still been in training!

Given that this is the aelotois’ twentieth year on Elanthia, you may see a few special things too, but that’s all I’m going to say about that.

One key to remember — this is a light, free event. Its purpose is mostly pretty fluff, often with an aelotoi theme, of course. We’re all going to do our best at making it fun, getting you merchants, and showcasing shops that haven’t seen the light of day for awhile!

My two original shops, Bejeweled and Damsels and Dragons, have been refreshed and include jewelry with imbedded spells and clothing.

Cylliene, the merchant behind Bejeweled, has a vicious streak…bring her kiramon parts, and she’ll give you discounts on her live merchanting services. She embraced gems after arriving in Elanthia, refusing to let kiramon ruin something so pretty any more.

Azlynne, the merchant behind Damsels and Dragons, was heavily pregnant when escaping Bre’Naere, and at her debut, she had a healthy toddler running about and keeping her busy. This toddler is now a grown young man, and she’s excited that he has been working under a master artisan and is now ready to debut his new shop, Perchance to Dream.

Said shop cannot be teased until way closer to the event because of…reasons.
