The FANSPEAK verb allows Nalfein elves and half elves, as well as others who learn the language, to pick up on the meaning of subtle movements Nalfein women make with their fans as described in the treatise An Introduction to Nalfein Fans, Fan-Dancing and Fanspeak.
Users may express their secret meanings to the room at large, to or about a player target, or silently to a player target. Those who have knowledge of Fanspeak (Nalfein elves and half elves who have not opted out, or others who have learned the language through other means) will interpret the meaning. Those without knowledge of Fanspeak will only see the fan movements.
