in general CategorySeveral bugs relating to dyes have been corrected. The three types of dyes — dyer’s tent dye, alchemy dye, and cobbling dye — all now have ANALYZEs that tell you which type they are and what color dying an item will result in.
While you can still ORDER BOTTLE while holding a cobbling dye in your hand and have it converted to an alchemy dye, you do not have to — you can pour it directly onto the item. ORDER BOTTLE has been preserved in case you want to add alchemy additives. The two dyes should work the same other than the additive.
Several bug reports were caused by incorrectly built dyes. If you are having issues with individual dyes — if you have a midnight blue dye that analyzes as creating faintly sheened coppery green, please ASSIST and have the dye itself fixed. Several common mismatches (looking at you, pine green!) have been fixed automatically.
If you have a dye or item that is behaving unexpectedly, please BUGITEM both the dye and the item and I will take a look.
