NEWS: Trailblazing Dwarves uncovered a cache of unusual magical scrolls in a long-abandoned ruin that might have been a Dragonspine monastery. A magical rift held a sealed coffer, which they took back to the Toktrog Clan Leader. tl;dr: Scrolls of the new Savant and Major Mental spells were found inside. in towns CategoryA group of Toktrog dwarves trailblazing across the DragonSpine discovered a long abandoned ruin. No known deity was represented in what was left of what looked like a marble monastery. A keen-eyed pathfinder discovered a loose stone in the rubble. Hidden behind it was an unusual scroll of magical nature. The leader of the group called upon one of their number skilled with arcane symbols to make sense of it.
After some time this magical dwarf was able to invoke the scroll causing it to disintegrate and open a shimmering rift in midair! When they all peered inside they discovered something else, a sealed coffer. After they retrieved the coffer the rift disappeared! Another member handy with locksmithing managed to open the coffer. Inside they found 7 more scrolls.
The trailblazers took their find to the Toktrog clan Leader. He called those in his clan most knowledgeable in the ways of arcane symbols to study the unusual spells contained in the scrolls. Their studies proved productive in the understanding of the new magic.
The Toktrog clan leader ordered a set of copies be made to send to the leaders of all the other dwarven clans in an effort to share the newfound knowledge. Stigur the Pathfinder, the original invoker of the first scroll, was selected to take a set to the clan leader of Zul Logoth. At a recent meeting in the Hall of Clans the scrolls were presented to Clan Leader Rodverg.
tl;dr: Scrolls of the new Savant and Major Mental spells were found. One scroll of each spell is being raffled in Zul Logoth Sunday the 8th at 530pm for Plat and 600pm for Prime.
