Solhaven Thwarts Chaston’s Army Again
Here’s the official recap of the Solhaven vs. Chaston action that happened Sunday night:

Topic: SolhavenDate: 10/29/2016 10:44 PM CDTFrom: GS4-LYDILSubj: Trouble on the Western FrontOver the course the last week the Vornavian Guard has reported numerous skirmishes with those known as the Blameless. These attacks have been noteworthy as the Blameless have appeared without warning, having not marched overland as done in their past attacks. Soldiers reported sightings of green and yellow flashes around the times of these raids, so it is believe magical portals are being used to transport the Blameless into position. The source of these portals is believed to be the former Imperial Drake Noralia, who was slain and turned into a puppet of Raznel. The last reported sighting of Noralia was on a Chaston controlled vessel where she was given orders to attack Vornavis. If she is in the field coordinating these strikes, the opportunity to eliminate her now exists.
Malvernus of the Hall of Mages aims to take this chance and deal with Noralia. With the escalating nature of these attacks, a more potent one is expected on the morrow. Those interested in aiding in the defense of Vornavis, as well as mounting a counter strike against Noralia itself are advised to be ready tomorrow night. It should be noted that things occurring a bit after 10 pm EST would be rather likely.

Short form recap:
Green flashes were glimpsed to the east and south of Vornavis, delivering Blameless troops to the (offscreen) area. Vornavis mobilized troops in response and those of us in Solhaven heard the clash at a distance.
Malvernus met with those gathering in North Market. A ship was seen approaching, and believed to be Noralia’s. Siege weapons were ineffective, as she was using the wind to ward off any incoming projectiles. In response, Malvernus gathered the wizards and rangers in the market to assist him in using the wind against her. Thus, the ship was stilled.
Malvernus and those adventurers who chose to accompany him boarded the Rising Swan and rammed the enemy ship. The boarding party swung across to the enemy ship on ropes (whee!) and set up triage in a nearby cabin. Waves of Blameless were fought off while Noralia shrieked and taunted and threw fireballs from a distance. Eventually Noralia accosted the group in person and was damaged, but wouldn’t die (again).
Malvernus advised the boarding party that perhaps plan B was in order, and fire began raining down on the enemy ship’s mast and sails. Triage was advised of the plan to move back to the Swan, and the boarding party swung back over. The Swan backed away from the damaged enemy vessel as it burned and listed to one side. But soon, the air went cold and still, and then nearly all of those present found themselves immobilized and helpless. Those few who were at liberty stood guard over the rest as Noralia teleported into their midst.
The decomposing imperial wizard railed at the group for sinking her ship, but insisted they’d given her a new one, as well as new toys to play with. Her movements were painful to watch, and Malvernus seemed to believe Raznel was speaking through her. He was able, with effort against the general immobilization, to touch his staff to a chalk pattern that lit up a circle around Noralia. The group was suddenly freed from their metaphysical bonds and set upon the undead mage with a will, ending her once and, hopefully, for all.
Malvernus dispersed the remains of the portal Noralia had begun casting prior to her dispatch, the enemy ship sank, and the assault force made it safely back to land.
Later, Malvernus mentioned he’d requisitioned Imperial Drakes to assist in the battle against Chaston’s forces.
