Mayor Asks Dennet for Golems, not cash

In light of the piling up bills and damages to the Landing after the recent troubles with Young Lord Cyph, the Mayor writes Grand Lord Magister Dennet and suggests a different sort of payment. Donating some Mein Golems to the city. I know I’d feel so much safer with Mein Golems running around on the streets… er…

Subj: A Sealed Letter, to be delivered to Grand Magister Dennet.
The following is written in pale ink on a glossy black parchment, sealed and addressed to Grand Magister Dennet and bearing the crest of Wehnimer’s Landing, with duplicates sent to the Town Council and related parties for consideration and approval prior to dispatch:

Esteemed Grand Magister,
I do sincerely hope that this letter finds you in good stead, and that your son’s dire condition has at least become safely stabilized since last we met. I am relieved to note that the first portion of this imminent matter has been resolved, and I shall trust to your previously given word that you will allow some of our best and most talented individuals to offer their cooperative aide with the monitoring, care, and — one hopes — eventual healthy rehabilitation of your beloved son. I offer you my personal assurances that there are many of our own who are willing to freely volunteer their diversity of expertise to this matter, that it might find resolution as soon as possible.
However, there are some unfortunate fiduciary matters that I should like to address post-haste, at your earliest convenience. I have received a bill from a representative of the Faendryl Enclave concerning damages done to their rather lavish and costly structure, in addition to somewhat concerning reports from our Militia Captains regarding an assessment of the extensive fire damage incurred to various parts of our town during the primary incident, as well as prior such incidences.
In regards to that, I would like to make a creative but somewhat unorthodox counter-proposal to the given expectation of financial recompense, one that I hope you shall give due consideration in the interest of building trust, candor, and good-will regarding future cooperation between our parties.
Rather than direct financial remuneration for damage incurred, might I informally suggest that you consider donating a small portion of the black mein golems which are currently being utilizing at the Outpost? It is my own belief that such a gracious and forward-thinking gesture on your own part would do much to assuage concerns that our citizens may have regarding both their operation and presence, given our rather unfortunate past experiences with the grave misuse of these tools; in addition, their safe and extended presence here may help to increase public familiarity with their proper and intended application, of which you have assured them. Consider it the opportunity for a cultural exchange in addition to recompense, with the added benefit that you should not need to go to the trouble of bothering your superiors with unnecessary further inquiry into the complicated reasons behind such financial expenditure.
I do hope that you will at least consider the many possible merits of this suggestion, that I might expedite a joint effort with the Faendryl Enclave to rebuild the damage done and press forward toward mutual prosperity. Once this has been satisfactorily concluded, of course, we will both be free to return our concerted efforts to potentially more pressing matters.
With Highest Regard,
Signed,
Cruxophim, Mayor of Wehnimer’s Landing

You may not explain with a sentence ending in a question mark.

Haha, brilliant.

On that note, I did previously state (mistakenly) that they weren’t made by Stone, but were later used by Stone and subsequently Cross; that was incorrect, as Pup very rightly pointed out.

So confirmed errata on that: Stone did make them, Cross used them. Dennet repurposed them after Cross‘ demise. The Hall has USED golems in the past, but not these particular ones.
