Subj: An abridged log of Brother Ignius' meeting
[Honeybeer Inn, Tap Room]
The lower walls are tinted plaster over stone, as evidenced by the chips at the exact level of the chair backs. The bar itself is worn, and the low brass footrest is polished only by the shoes of the many customers who have cradled a pint while leaning against the bar. You also see a ruffled brown pelican that is flying around, a polished oak menu and a halfling bartender.

You see Brother Ignius Fontaine the Monk.
He appears to be a Human.
He is tall and appears to be in the prime of life. He has cobalt-flecked dusky grey eyes and dark bronze skin. He has thick, coarse black hair closely cropped against his scalp. He has a narrow face, an aquiline nose and broad shoulders.
He has a blood red teardrop tattoo inked on his left temple.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a polished black steel scimitar talisman, some dark sanguine cambric robes arranged in a wide fold across the chest, a cord-tied leather and hide pouch, a pair of loose raw linen pants belted with a knotted deerskin sash, and some wool-bound dark suede footwraps.

Ignius says, “So, Brother Civinch is still jailed within the town.”
Ignius says, “We understand he got into a bit of an altercation the other night, but tensions are running high within our organization.”
the fact.”
Ignius snorts!
Ignius says, “He’s very young, and he’s passionate.”
Ignius says, “Our organization is called The Sacred Fury. We’re a group of V’tullian monks, we’re relatively private in our practices, but we’re not typically the sort to venture outside of our own kind.”

Ignius says, “It just so happens, we came through your town of Icemule early this past Restday.”
Ignius says, “Nothing was out of place until later that evening.”
Ignius says, “Our organization was in possession of a very rare artifact, ancient in nature. It’s one of, if not the most, prized possession we have.”
Ignius says, “This is a very rare and unique bloodjewel. We use it in some of our initiation rites, when we accept a new Brother. It has been this way for a very, very long time. As long as our order has existed. Before that, one of our founders had it.”
Ignius says, “Well it’s said that it’s imbued with the rage and vengence of V’tull himself. A particularly intense bloodlust comes over a person when they hold it.

Ignius says, “That’s the trick of it, though. We had several monks guarding it at the time, and we can’t figure out just what happened at the time it was stolen.”

Ignius says, “We’ve never had any issue with this in our long history with the item.”
Ignius says, “Normally, we don’t even speak of it with anyone outside of our order.”
Ignius says, “But desperate times call for desperate measures.”
Speaking to Ignius, Faulkil asks, “Did everyone forget what happened or something?”
Speaking to Faulkil, Ignius says, “It was there one minute, and missing the next.”

Ordim says, “What about the fire…”
Ignius says, “Ah yes, the fire.”

Ignius says, “At first I didn’t think much of the fire in your sky here, I thought maybe that was just the way of it.”
Ignius says, “But it came to my attention that this is out of the ordinary. And it started right around the time our bloodjewel was taken away from us.”
Ignius says, “We’d like to find whoever is causing these issues with the fire. I was told I need to speak with this Nihala to find out more about what’s going on.”
Roblar deeply says, “Tiz da town’s mayor.”
Ignius asks, “Do you find her generally useful in negotiations or is she more difficult to navigate?”
Roblar deeply says, “She iz a helpin an thoughtful mayor.”
Roblar deeply says, “Not bad wid a thin blade tooz.”
Roblar smiles.

Speaking to Ignius, Faulkil asks, “Surely you must have tools at your disposal for locating or tracking such a valuable artifact?”
Speaking to Faulkil, Ignius says, “Nothing we have seems to be working the way it should.”

Ignius says, “I’ve heard from a few shop owners today…”
Ignius says, “That they’ve received some missives from a mage.”
Ignius says, “Have any of you seen this… person anywhere in town? I feel certain with the fire in the sky and the bloodjewel going missing, that I need to, at the very least, locate them and speak with them.”
Olgretien deeply says, “Sombudy extortin all de shop owners.”
Speaking deeply to Ignius, Olgretien asks, “The Firemage?”
Speaking to Olgretien, Ignius says, “That’s what some of the shop owners were saying. I haven’t seen a mage anywhere about town, though.”
Ignius says, “Letters don’t make a mage.”
Speaking deeply to Ignius, Olgretien says, “No werd or rumors dat anyun has seen him.”
Speaking to Ignius, Faulkil asks, “Were they able to describe this mage?”
Speaking to Faulkil, Ignius exclaims, “They only said they received missives from him, requesting that they pay up. More threats of fire headed towards them, if they don’t pay!”

Ignius ponders.
Ignius rummages through a cord-tied leather and hide pouch, pausing once in a while and then quickly resuming the search.
Ordim examines Ignius closely, sizing him up and taking note of all the details.
Ignius says, “Where did I put that…”
Ignius pulls a leaflet from his robes.
Ignius taps a slightly charred pamphlet, which is in his right hand.
Ignius says, “Flashfeet gave me a few of these today. Fairly proud, I’d say.”

Ignius drops a slightly charred pamphlet.
Ignius drops a slightly charred pamphlet.

Archales places an order and pays the halfling bartender.

The attentive halfling bartender nods and says, “Yes, sir. One toe tickler ale coming up!” With a modicum of activity, the bartender quicky places Archales’s order on top of the wooden bar.
You remove a mug of toe tickler ale from on a polished wooden bar.
You take a drink from your toe tickler ale. Despite the cool temperature of the drink, warmth floods through your body as the taste of apples floods your mouth.
Speaking to you, Archales says, “I didn’t buy that for you.”
You wink at Archales.
(Thanks for the free Ale, Archales!)

Speaking to Ignius, Faulkil says, “We can spread the word. Service Night is starting shortly and we can ask people to be on the look out.”
Ignius nods at Faulkil.

Ignius glances around the room.
Ignius says, “We’d be very much appreciative of any help anyone is willing to…”
Ignius squints at Antonn.
Ignius says, “Help.”

You see Air Commander Antonn Lithos.
He appears to be a Vaalor Elf.
He is very tall and appears to be in the prime of life. He has grey-ringed olive green eyes and golden brown skin. He has very short, peppered honey blonde hair trimmed closely at the nape of his neck and temples. He has a narrow oval-shaped face, a straight nose and long sharply pointed ears. He has a faded scar curving along the length of his left jaw.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a faintly lustrous aqilorn cloak, a gold-traced white wyvern crest set in a beveled veil iron frame, a set of burnished golvern platemail ridged with vivid eahnor inlay, a bronze-latched canvas and flaxen satchel, a slim crimson leather sheath accented with amber-hued blazestars, a pair of muted golden elk hide breeches, and some steel-buckled black deerskin boots.

Ignius says, “We’d like to have it back for our organization. It belongs to us.”

Antonn says, “It seems I came to the right place to hear of strange news and goings on. Perhaps you all may be able to assist me as well.”
Antonn says, “I… admit I know nothing of this jewel you have lost. Although the more I hear about the cirumstances surrounding its disappearance the more convinced I am that it may be related to what brought me here.”

Ignius gives a short little hum of surprise.

Antonn says, “My name is Air Commander Antonn, of Vaalor.”

Ordim gawks at Antonn.
Ordim exclaims, “I have your airship!”
Ordim removes an elongated dark blue-hulled toy airship with canvas sails from in his dark grey satchel.
Antonn bows to Ignius.
Ordim indicates an elongated dark blue-hulled toy airship with canvas sails as a possible option.
Ignius nods.
Antonn says, “Then I suggest you return it.”
Ordim places his hand on his blue-hulled airship.
Ordim says, “But…”
Ordim frowns.
Ordim glances at an elongated dark blue-hulled toy airship with canvas sails in his hand as if it really needs a hug.
Ignius cracks his knuckles!

Antonn says, “Jokes aside, I do come seeking news of our stolen airship.”
Speaking to Antonn, Ignius says, “I haven’t heard much about the stolen airship. I heard a little today from the town folks here, but it sounded like it was just spotted in the Nations not that long ago.”
Antonn says, “I received a report from Quartermaster Baynier in Illistim last week that the ship was seen heading west after a bizarre incident involving a hidden Faendryl outpost and the disappearance of a servant.”
Speaking to Antonn, Ignius says, “We don’t have any use for an airship within our organization.”
Antonn says, “Of an artifact that may or may not have been what allowed this hidden Faendryl enclave to remain unseen for thousands of years.”
Ignius furrows his brow.
Antonn says, “A ring, I believe it was. Made of bone.”
Speaking to Antonn, Ignius says, “Perhaps we should speak a bit more after this meeting ends, so you can catch me up on more of the details about this ring.”!
Antonn nods at Ignius.
Ignius says, “With the ring simply vanishing, it is an interesting theory.”
Antonn says, “My pleasure.”
Speaking to Antonn, Ignius asks, “Are you aware of who stole the airship?”
Antonn asks, “So I take it this means no one has spotted my missing ship?”
Antonn says, “We… don’t know as much as we should. We found a drugged guard who was of little use.”
Antonn says, “We have a name, however.”
Ignius nods.
Ignius says, “That would be of use to me, greatly.”
Antonn says, “Vagrance Birch. A miserable name for a miserable man.”
Ignius slowly says, “Vagrance Birch.”
Antonn says, “The assumption is he used some unknown powder to incapacitate the guard who was supposed to be watching the ship, and took off with it.”
Ignius says, “My list of people I need to speak with is growing long.”
Antonn says, “If you see him I suggest you start with the punching and kicking and get around to the speaking after you’ve broken both his legs so he cannot flee.”
Ignius says, “No one was drugged in our case, but if he does have that ring then that might explain more.”
Antonn says, “He is an insidious man. Subtle and conniving.”
Antonn says, “I would proceed with caution if you see him. And listen to nothing he says.”
Antonn says, “This ring… it was put forth by A Lady Sibwen, according to my reports, may be part of something called the Prisma Relics.”
Ignius says, “That should be The Sacred Fury’s next focus. If we see an airship, or hear anything of this Vagrance Birch, I will be happy to contact you immediately.”
Ignius nods.
Antonn says, “I will, of course, find a way to contact you if I find anything having to do with a stolen jewel in my own investigation.”
Ignius amusedly says, “This town has been much more helpful than I expected.”
Ignius says, “If any of you see or hear anything unusual, we’d love to know more about it. I am sure this is not the last time you will see me or my Brothers.”
