Kenstrom on Landing blockcades

GM Kenstrom’s message about blockades inadvertantly blocking access to some places also says: “The areas blocked aren’t as important, as what is coming next.” Er – Send the children to Zul Logoth while you can??

Is there some reason I wasn’t informed I’d be unable to actually access my home due to some event in the landing? More then a little annoying to have a deeded property I need to pay monthly rent on inaccessible.

For the custom homes that cost 150k SimuCoins, he should be able to access it. (Or similar Auction-win property deeds, from the past.)

You don’t pay rent on the custom homes that cost 150k simucoins. You own those.

For the other deeded properties you have close to 90 days to pay rent before you get into trouble. I’m sure if you get close to that point you could send a note to the GM that manages the properties and work something out for the month.

Expecting to be informed in advance (or at all) of any inconvenience due to a story line seems inappropriate. “Pssst.. Hey! The krolvin will be invading tomorrow and you might not be able to access your property for a few days. Mums the word!”

Hopefully the alchemist bought deeds.

Or it could have simply been an oversight. GMs are human too. Maybe send an email saying hey not sure you noticed but… probably be more productive.

It’s not an oversight if it’s on the east side the Landing.

Wait, wait, wait…

You mean I won’t be able to access the Alchemist for my weekly sell-off of Alchemical reagents found as random treasure?

WHAT KIND OF TOWN ARE YOU PEOPLE RUNNING HERE, ANYWAY?!?!?

.

.

(On a more serious note, have all means of access been shut off? Landing in the Brewery is one of the random spots my Bard winds up when I use TravelSong…)

I think the bard can still wind up there.

Chaston may be the new Landlord on that side of town, Mister Ardwen.

See if he takes stinky Wehnimer’s Landing silvers…

Typically, it’s an oversight. I never go into anything thinking of ways to inconvenience players. Quite the opposite. I usually approach things in a way to try to make it as realistic and dynamic as possible, yet still strike a good balance of keeping players from, well, being upset. I made sure to be north enough not to block Aspis or a fog point, but turns out I blocked Ardwen’s home and a neighborhood. I’ll look into tweaking it a bit. The areas blocked aren’t as important, as what is coming next…so I have a bit of flexibility.

My whiskey is clearly very important, go burn down Voln instead! Or barricade Paupers, noone would notice!

If you are extremely patient or lucky you can also use a glyph trap to get into the alchemist’s house through a temporal rift.

You used to be able to get into the old alchemist shop that way. But noooo.. someone had to report it… ๐Ÿ˜‰
