Oantal, the Fire(I suppose you’re all wondering why the sky is constantly on fire)mage, pens his specific demands to Icemule. Offering them protection. For a five percent tax on … everything. Classic wizard tactic, but does Icemule need it? Or want him?

People of Icemule,

Thank you for graciously and politely hearing my requests this afternoon! As expected, the crowd was polite and matters went off without a hitch or even a hint of violence. I have heard from so many of you how pleased you are to be working with me to forward the defense of this town. We are going to make Icemule amazing once more.

To reiterate the official terms of this agreement, the people of Icemule will be responsible for providing a five percent tariff on all goods sold by merchants or shopkeepers within the boundaries of the town. In return, the town of Icemule shall be protected from all enemies, foreign and domestic, by my incredible might–and my chimera, of course.

I look forward to hearing the official response of the mayor and council on the morrow at 5:00PM by the Elven Standard.

This town is safe in my hands.
