Often have you invited me to come north and visit you in that provincial port city that you call home. You know my feelings on travel–especially by water–but you and I, we do not have so many years left that I can put off visiting much longer. So there it is! I have purchased passage aboard the good ship Thistledown, northward bound with relief supplies for that backwater region’s latest troubles. I considered contracting with the Chronomages for travel, but I like the prospect of supporting their order even less!
I hear that you’ve finally managed to encourage that apprentice of yours to attend the Hall. Given her noble birth, she would never have had to walk the path that you and I have trodden in our long lives, but it is good nonetheless to see her receive formal training.
Should all go well, I ought to arrive in the port of Solhaven on the second or third. Wish me well.
