For centuries, we believed the doors were enough. The seals beneath Caligos Isle, the graveyard mists of Naidem, and the blood-soaked sand of Bloodriven Village held firm. The Arena of the Abyss was meant to be a forgotten tomb for the demonic host, a realm of eternal carnage, locked away from the sunlight of Elanthia. Other doors exist, but their locations remain a mystery…for now.

But we forgot one thing: demons do not handle exile quietly.

Deep within the Abyss, a vathor, a creature of shadow and ancient malice, found a relic from a forgotten age: a mirror of pure urnon, stretching hundreds of feet into the darkness. This urnon, the chaotic metal, does more than reflect light; it captures the essence of the soul. For eons, the vathor gazed upon that silver expanse, watching the ghosts of Elanthia pass by on the other side of the veil. In a fit of transcendent rage (or perhaps calculated genius), the demon struck. The urnon mirror did not merely crack; it shattered with a psychic scream that vibrated through the very foundations of the world.

The force of the blow propelled shards of the mirror through the thinning seals of the doors. These fragments, now scattered across the known realms, act as miniature windows back into the Abyss. When a mortal gazes into a shard, they do not see their own visage but a version of themselves that was dragged into the Abyss eons ago. They see skin hardened by hellfire, eyes clouded by centuries of screams, and a spirit hollowed out by the relentless hunger of the plane.

They see the Fiend of the Reflection.

The shard of chaotic urnon is a 1x/week summoning tool that lets you face a like-leveled demon based on your profession and race. Each run of Duskruin, you can add an additional use per week, with a max of 10x/week. This item will be available in the vaults for the next 5 years. There may be other opportunities to gain additional usages after their debut, such as the feeders, auctions, and special releases. They will also get more flavorful the more you unlock them.

You can also set the shard to another person and face a version of them. They must be online for this to work. It won’t be a 1:1 match or anything like that, but it will take their likeness (profession or race). You will see who it is, but no one else. I will post a usage in this thread under this post once I do some retroactive fixes to get this out and update the SimuCoin Store with the new build. Shouldn’t be much longer. I will edit this part out once live to reduce confusion.

Don’t want it? BREAK it for a violet orb that is character attuned. Once the shards have been combined with additional shards (so after this run), you won’t be able to break the combined one, but you can always break a new one.

You analyze the chaotic urnon and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

This is a special item from that can summon a demon to your location. It will be a like-level foe that uses the profession and race to set up its difficulty. It cannot be used in areas that creatures shouldn’t be in.

The urnon has the following verbs:
GAZE – Check status of the urnon.
This also refreshes the weekly cycle.
INVITE – Summon the demonic fiend from the other plane!
POINT – Set the demonic field to someone else.
You must POINT urnon AT [self] to set it back to yourself.
The person must be online in order for it to work.
If they aren’t, it will default back to you.
LORESONG – The story of the urnon.
