The Lightweaver’s Ocarina Fully Operational

EBON GATE: GM Ethereal announced The Ocarina Update at Ebon Gate. Found by doing tasks for the Witch in the Bittermere Woods, the Lightweaver’s Ocarina is now completely functional. Charge yours doing tasks for the witch, or pay her, in shards, for the charges. With 7 illusions and Roleplaying verbs, the Ocarina also comes with two new abilities. Details:

I’ll be shortly pushing out an update to the ocarina reward from the Undergrowth of Bittermere Woods game. This update will add two new features to the ocarina, briefly, they are:

* 7 selectable illusions which are available via turn ocarina and turn ocarina to #.

* Dirge of the Lanternbearer: While worn (or held, I suppose), slaying a non-undead, sentient creature has a 50% chance to summon a Luukosian lanternbearer which will form as a grim mockery of the slain creature (this consumes 1 charge from the ocarina). If the player successfully defeats the lanternbearer, it has a chance to drop a dull/dim/brilliant phylactery. These phylactery attune to the wearer and last for 1 week. When clench’d, they will restore 1-3 spirit to the bearer with a cooldown of 1 hour. If the user already has full spirit, then it will extend the following by 30 seconds…

* Soulbound Crescendo: When a lanternbearer is slain, the ocarina has a chance to bestow the wearer with one of three boons, selected randomly:
Vengeance: +15 AS/+10 CS
Protection: +15 DS/+10 TD
Solace: +2 health, +2 mana, +1 stamina every 3 seconds.
All of the boons last for 30 seconds. While under the effects of Soulbound Crescendo, a user may clench a phylactery to extend the benefit for another 30 seconds across all of the boons.

* 7 RP verbs: exhale, breathe, gasp, hum, push, whisper, yell

Soulbound Crescendo upgrades may be purchased from the witch for 5,000 soulshards and will increase the chance of soulbound crescendo triggering by 1% for each upgrade (to a maximum of 100%).
