Fellow GS’ers,

We are a small community, and I have seen us pull together when one of us is impacted. This is one of those times. Jes (aka Dhairn’s player) has had one hell of a year medically.

To make a long story short; he’s currently on the transplant list for two kidneys and a liver, due to no fault of his own, just the way the cards fell for him. He’s been battling the issues that led to this for almost the entire year, and that’s taken a toll on him and his family.

Jes is now eligible for home dialysis and is in the process of training to operate his own dialysis machine. Once fully equipped for at-home dialysis therapy, he’ll be free to return to work and reclaim his life!

His return-to-work date is scheduled for February. He is so close to living fully again while he waits for his kidneys and liver! But this has been a hard, hard road.

If you can spare a prayer, a kind thought, and/or some positive energy his way–it would make all the difference in the world. Additionally, a friend of his set up a fund to help he and his wife on the home stretch after the crippling financial impact that the year brought.
