Six Realms To Get Updated Behind The Curtain

UPDATE: GM Ethereal announced some backend reorganizing to 6 Realms, to make everything consistent. The Realms are Koar’s Shrine (Aenatumgana), The Rift, Talador, The Human Empire (read as: KST areas), The Settlement of Reim, and Reim Fortress Defense. Going live first in Plat, he’ll open a thread to report anomalies after the updates. Details:

Greetings, intrepid adventurers! As part of a project to reorganise some realms to make them more consistent on the backend, I’m going to be pushing out some updates to the following realms later tonight in Platinum and then Prime and Shattered later this week if all goes well. Those realms are:
Koar’s Shrine (Aenatumgana)
The Rift
Talador
The Human Empire (read as: KST areas)
The Settlement of Reim
Reim Fortress Defense

What’s Changing?
The way we have realms organised internally is a little scattered. This reorganization will make more consistent with other realms. This requires updating the rooms themselves along with anything that relies on knowing what realm it is in (e.g. Rift gems only spawn in the Rift realm, Realm flaring swords picking an appropriate elemental flare, etc.).

Why the announcement?
As one can imagine with a 30 year+ old text game, there are a lot of nooks and crannies that may have a dependency on the underlying realm. While I’ve been exhaustive in my search, I can’t preclude that everything was caught. I’ll be opening a thread when Platinum goes live for players to post bugs into so they can be triaged faster. Please note there if you find anything odd or unusual about the things you are finding, the creatures, player spells, etc. Examples of things that would qualify: the Rift no longer producing rift gems, bounties no longer being assigned for areas, or player teleportation/transportation acting funny or refusing to work. My hope is to triage issues as they occur quickly to avoid disruption to the game, though I expect the issues to be few.
