in Rumor Woods Racing CategoryHey all, I’m going to need to pause the release of the race this year. There are a handful of factors as to why. The big one is I’m just not overly happy with the design. I rather not push something out that isn’t entertaining. It’s coming along but right now it’s just a whole lot of RNG and I doubt any of you want that. The problem is making something competitive where skill is simply typing, which will be mimicked by scripting once everyone figures out all the guess the verb aspects. I’d like to give this time to bake more and launch it before next RW to give some play testing time on it. There are some factors outside my scope that would also impact the race that I really don’t want to dive into until they are resolved entirely.
As for everything else, I took a lot of what was shared with me to heart, and I do think instead of building new things, I’m going to focus on more QoL and bug fixes for the rest of the year. The one big update I have is the Newcropolis additions for year 2 that I already started working during October of last year. I have some plans for Duskruin updates, but mostly with sunsetting the Heist as you all knew it.
My apologizes to those that were looking forward to it. It’s still coming, I just want to make sure it’s a better experience than wait, guess the verb, do the thing, rinse, and repeat.
