Feeling a bit bookish? Burdened by the weight of knowledge? Tired of endless papercuts as you rummage for just the right scroll? Well, I can’t help that. But what I can do is this…
The shop “Tomeward Bound” will be opening at Rumor Woods for the 2025 run. This shop will be selling a new item: Spell Books! These books allow players to transfer spells off of scrolls, similar to sigil staves, while providing a few unique abilities:
Tier 1 (5,000 raikhen): Transfer up to six (6) spells to the book and INVOKE them when needed.
Tier 2 (2,500 raikhen): Displays the exact number of charges for each slot (up to 40 charges/slot).
Tier 3 (25,000 raikhen): A chosen spell slot can be refreshed 1x/day. War spells will refresh fully up to 40 charges while non-war spells will refresh 1 charge.
Tier 4 (100,000 raikhen): The book may be used 1x/day to gain Fash’lo’nae’s Knowledge (1750).
Page Addon (10,000 raikhen): Adds another page to the book, up to 10. Each page contains 6 slots.
RP Addon (500 raikhen): Adds a number of RP verbs to the book: flip, snap, touch, brush, rub, raise, and point.

When happens if the scroll has more charges than the book can hold? The book will transfer charges up to the maximum (40) and leave the remaining charges on the scroll.
Can SK spells (vibrant ink) spells be transferred? Unfortunately, SK scrolls cannot be transfered to the book.
How do I transfer spells to the book? Use ponder to select which slot the spell should go into (1-5) and then use the transfer verb, similar to sigil staves.
What happens when I use the last charge of a spell? The spell slot will become empty and available for transfering another spell.
I don’t want this spell anymore. Do I have to use all of the charges? The book has a scratch verb that lets you remove a spell, making that slot available for use again.
What happens to a scroll when it is transferred off of? The scroll will become locked and unable to be infused/recharged.
Is there a cap on the spell level that can be transferred? Only spells below level 20 may be transferred.
Is there any limitation on spells that can be recharged? All spells below level 20 can be transferred, but the spell must be findable on scrolls to be recharged.
What happens if I hold a runestaff and this item? This item count as a scroll in the offhand and not reduce DS.
