DUSKRUIIN MANIA: PM Wyrom set the date for the MANIA event at Duskruin: Sunday, February 23 at 7pm. The entrance will be just outside the HESS; doors open just before 7pm. Expect the doors to close and only be able to get back in during breaks. Bring All The Bloodscrip. The TownCrier will be calling the events and shenanigans live right here on our channel during Mania. Keep track on our live spreadsheet of many tallies that night. Mania is scheduled on the calendar for 7pm ET on 2/23/2025. Unfortunately, I got pretty sick and am just now feeling a little better to be able to sit at my computer. The plan is still to have Mania, but should I need to tap out early, we will have a part 2 the following weekend. We have a lot of neat stuff to do this time around. Some newly made trinkets.

Mania is going back to its roots, where it’s more Shenanigans than planned Mania. If you don’t know what that means, it’s not going to be an offering that matches the last couple of years. It’s going to involve a lot of high end offerings that we can’t really do under the new form of HESS where we’ve moved away from limited quantities. There will be some never seen before stuff showing up. Some unique offerings that will be one of a kind. It’s going to be less spins and freebies and more auction oriented. If the RPA is what you’re coming for, we’ll have the mystical orb that cost 1,000 bloodscrip outside of the event.
This isn’t to discourage anyone from showing up, I just want to set expectations so you aren’t wasting your evening on a super high end event with 2 bloodscrip in your pocket. A comment from the last Mania that sort of lives rent free in my head is “If I would have known this was going to be for the rich, I wouldn’t have wasted 4 hours being here.” While there may be some stuff that goes for less and there may be some door prizes/spins, the target for Mania has always been a massive drain of bloodscrip — a way to reset bloodscrip as close to 0 as we can. We’ve only had a few runs where we managed to drain more than we generated, but most the time it’s been only in the 90%. Also they say the one way to know if you’re AI is if you use an em dash.

As it was figured out pretty quickly in my little teaser anagram, Mania will be returning. It will be going back to what it was and not what it became. We have tools that handle scheduled automation. Mania will become more like what Shenanigans was. which is a very off-the-cuff event where we go with the flow. There is some planning, obviously, since I’m posting about it and I’ve talked it over with the team leading Duskruin.
What does that mean? Well it will be less “this happened last time” and more demon brownie pans and drake weapons. There may or may not be door prizes. I will use some of the tools I built to help with selections and joining. You may win a lightning bolt or a lightening bolt. You can sign up to win a trip to the Rift or get some Rift boots! You just don’t know! I will most likely use the opt in tool where you JOIN a round so you’re not greeted with something you have no use for or can’t complete the purchase. The orb (formerly grass) and prize piles are not going to be part of this event, so if those are what you want, keep an eye out for them. The group exp.
This is a bloodscrip event. Nothing will cost silvers. The usual rules of no passing items/currency will be in effect. The entrance will be closed after we get started. I have no idea how long we’ll take, and if we need to take a break, the entrance will be reopened. If you arrive late, that will be the only way in. The room should handle disconnects so you stay put. I recommend sitting if you’re in a group so you don’t get accidentally removed from the room.
