Green Death Related Updates and Fixes

NEWS: The current Green Death plaguing the mainland brought to light several infrastructure issues, which are being dealt with. 1) There’s a new pop-up cart in Solhaving selling the rare salt crystals needed for the alchemical cure recipe. 2) Wyrom announced an OPTOUT command if you’re not amused. 3) There was a fix to the alchemy system to allow use of purchased ingredients.

Alchemy System Update

There was a long-standing bug with the alchemy system that blocked gems sold in shops from being able to be used for alchemy. This bug has since been fixed and gems sold in shops, such as the ones set out on a cart in Solhaven, should now work for alchemy recipes.

The Tehir Cart is on Bayside Road in Solhaven. He will wander through North Haven. He is selling the pink salts as well as copper Aldoran Healer’s Jewelry, which will hold the cure if you PUSH it into it. Neck, wrist, over-the-front. He also will answer a few questions.

OPTOUT of the Green Death Plague

I have just released the OPTOUT verb.

Right now it just has an option for GREENDEATH to exclude yourself from the storyline. It will instantly turn your plague off after confirming.

In the future, we’ll see about using this system for consenting to various things that players would like to opt out of. It won’t turn GS into a single player game, but for things that may be intrusive in the future, we may consider adding it to this verb. When it gets some more time dedicated to it, the OPTOUT verb will show up in VERB and have a cleaner look with XML.
