Commanding Canes at Premium Festival 2025

PREMIUM FEST: GM Tivvy previewed the first new item for the Premium Festival this year with a re-imagined line of canes and rune staves called Commanding Canes. They are compatible with the flourish system and have three unlocks. All the details:

I’ve updated and modernized an existing older script for canes and runestaves that was previously just called “Cane Fluff” and is now called “Commanding Cane.”

It is now compatible with the flourish system, and existing canes/staves with this script can convert to a flourish version using FLOURISH CONVERT. Remember, this cannot be reverted. Converted canes/staves will not have access to the “throw” verb as it isn’t currently set up to work with flourishes (I’m going to look into whether this can be fixed for the future.)

All existing canes/staves with this script will automatically be converted to Tier 2 when you use one of the verbs (including the newly added ANALYZE).

An additional unlock (Tier 3) with 4 new verbs will be available at this year’s Premium Festival. Certificates to add this flourish at Tier 1 to your existing items will also be available at the festival in the shop “You Want Thingamabobs?”

This is a Commanding Cane. It may be altered, but the noun must remain either “cane” or, if it is a runestaff, an approved runestaff weapon noun.

It is currently Tier 2 of 3.

Verbs: LEAN, POINT, PULL, TAP, THROW, TURN, WAVE, and PUSH.

You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the ghostwood cane for you.

These are the T1 verbs. None of the T1 or T2 verbs have been changed from the original script:

You leisurely lean on your ghostwood cane, a thoughtful expression upon your face.
>point my cane
You raise your ghostwood cane and point it forward.
>pull my cane
You pull your ghostwood cane up under your arm, clutching it like a riding crop.
>tap my cane
You idly tap the tip of your ghostwood cane upon the ground.
