Buff Spells Update – December 2024

UPDATE: GM Nexus announced an update to Buff Spells. 1) Self-Cast Buff Spells, which used to have a minimum duration of 20 minutes, now have 2 hours; spell ranks will continue to increase the duration at 60 seconds per rank. 2) Dynamic Mana costs were removed. 3) Everyone will get one free use of MANA SPELLUP per day, regardless of Mana Control training. He notes that spells 707 (Eye Spy) and 716 (Pestilence) are still in progress.

The following changes have been made to self-cast buff spells which previously had a minimum duration of 20 minutes:

Minimum duration has been increased to 2 hours. Spell ranks will continue to increase this duration at 60 seconds per rank.
Dynamic mana costs have been removed. As an example, 307 might previously cost 50 or more mana, depending on spell training, and will now always cost 7 mana.
All characters will receive one free use of MANA SPELLUP per day, regardless of Mana Control training.

Please note that 707, 716, and 1109 are still in progress, but updates for all other spells should be live now. EDIT: 1109 is now live.
