Apiculture Jar
Designed by the Greengair forest gnomes, the apiculture jar will allow you to collect honey from any active beehive. The Greengair have imbued magic in the jar to purify and detoxify any honey collected, which means you can try out some more exotic honey types.

Features
Tier 1
Collect honey from any beehive for a sippable honey or a honeycomb–careful, it’s a bit messy that way!
Honey type is selected randomly from one of the three flowers on a beehive
Twelve potential base flavor profiles, with unique flavor notes depending on the flower
There is a cooldown on each beehive of 10 minutes. The bees work fast, but not THAT fast

Tier 2
Customize the appearance of your honey jars
3 custom jar descriptors
3 label inscriptions
3 label designs
There are some built-in options as well
You can now create Tier 1 Beeswax.
Beeswax can be used to alter any foraged item
Create a wax foraged item or a wax-dipped/wax-coated foraged item
Compatible with Veolas, Deck the Halls, and other scripts that insert a foraged item
These cannot be used in alchemy or bounties once altered. Use them in cooking at your own discretion.

Tier 3
Create honey that can be added to brewed tea or coffee
Twelve potential base flavor profiles, with unique flavor notes depending on the flower
Create Tier 2 Beeswax
Beeswax can now be used to create wax compatible with the postal system
Add up to 2 colors of dye
Select from 8 wax styles
POINT your jar at (almost) any object or creature to add a 4th label design at any time

Tier 4
Create honey that can be used as a Finishing Touch
Twelve potential base flavor profiles, with unique flavor notes depending on the flower
Create Tier 3 Beeswax
Beeswax can now be used to create Makeup 2.0 lip balm
Add 1 dye color
Select from 8 lip balm feature lines
POINT to (almost) any object or creature to set a label design for your lip balm

Town Apiaries
You will be able to find apiaries (or beehives) in these areas: Cysaegir, Kraken’s Fall, Mist Harbor, Nielira Harbor, Ornath, River’s Rest, Solhaven, Ta’Illistim, Ta’Vaalor, Teras Isle, Wehnimer’s Landing, and Zul Logoth… Oh, and there’s one in The Rift. Good luck.

Each apiary has a unique assortment of flowers, local to the area, and as such, will result in different types of honey.

Private Property Certificate
People who own a private property with an OUTDOOR room (sorry, but bees don’t like living inside) can purchase a certificate to add a total of ONE beehive per individual outdoor room.

Add up to 3 foraged flowers to your beehive (and can also remove them at any time). Keep in mind that flowers that come from foraged props rather than FORAGE will all default to the same flavor and as “wildflower” honey.

Add any Bugs on Parade gem-style honeybee or honey bee or nythien bee to customize the bees in your beehive.

The beehive will add ambients to your outdoor room, but these can be sped up/slowed down or turned off.

Mail Wax Example
>clench my jar
You clench your fist around your glass jar and feel a gentle warmth radiate from within. The honeycomb inside softens under the heat, and you work the wax free, the honey running back down into the jar as a chunk of beeswax takes shape in your hand.
>turn my bees
Your beeswax will now make a cylinder of wax suitable for paper, packages, and envelopes from the post office.
>pour dye on my bees
You pour some red dye on your beeswax. The dye sinks into the wax, tinting it a new color.
>pour my dye on my bees
You pour some gold dye on your beeswax. The dye sinks into the wax, tinting it a new color.
>nudge my bees
Your beeswax will now create a cylinder of gold-swirled red wax.
>nudge my bees
Your beeswax will now create a cylinder of gold-marbled red wax.
>prep 111
You utter a light chant and raise your hands, beckoning the lesser spirits to aid you with the Fire Spirit spell…
Your spell is ready.
>cast bees
You gesture at a chunk of gold and red beeswax.
A small flame leaps from your fingertips, briefly licking across the surface of your beeswax in a carefully controlled trail that warms it to malleability.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
>push my bees
You roll your warm beeswax, carefully shaping it into a cylinder of gold-marbled red wax.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

(you can warm it without magic too, btw. magic is just faster)
The first color you add will always be the base color of the wax. The second will be the accent color.

If you have hyphenated dye, like “blackberry-hued,” then you will want to add that FIRST. If you add it second, it will default to “a cylinder of hyphenated-color and <first color> wax” so that there’s not crazy hyphenations going on. lol.
blackberry-hued-swirled red wax is alas not fated to happen

Private Property (if you have an outdoor room) pricing for a beehive: 10k

Lip Balm Example
>pour dye on bees
You pour some coffee-hued dye on your beeswax. The dye sinks into the wax, tinting it a new color.
>nudge my bees
Your lip balm will appear in the unique feature line as: He has a bold stain of coffee-hued balm coloring his lips.
>nudge my bees
Your lip balm will appear in the unique feature line as: He has a faint whisper of coffee-hued balm applied to his lips.
>point bees at bear
Your beeswax will create a bear-inked tube of lip balm.
>point bees at book
Your beeswax will create a book-inked tube of lip balm.
>roll my bees
You vigorously roll the beeswax between your hands, the wax slowly becoming malleable.
Roundtime: 10 sec.
>push my bees
You work your warm beeswax with nimble fingers until it sets into a book-inked tube of coffee-hued lip balm.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

>nudge my bees
Your lip balm will appear in the unique feature line as: He has a heavily applied smear of passionflower pink balm on his lips, chunks of wax clumped in the corners.

Foraged Items & Wax Example
>push my bees
You mold your warm beeswax around your guava, transforming it into a wax-dipped green guava.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

>nudg my bees
Your beeswax will change the adjective field to wax-dipped.
>push my bees
You mold your warm beeswax around your guava, transforming it into a bumpy wax-dipped guava.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

>nudge my bees
Your beeswax will change the adjective field to wax.
>push my bees
You mold your warm beeswax around your guava, transforming it into a bumpy wax guava.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

You can select if the modifier goes in the article or adjective field (for most foraged items, unless they have a weird naming style), so that you can customize it for how it is going to show up in your DtH, Veolas, etc.
And you can do wax, wax-dipped, or wax-coated.

eah, there’s a bunch of different flavor profiles for the honey…
2 “subtly sweet and floral”
2 “sweet and floral”
peppery/spicy sweet
the rift flavor (it has another name but its the only one using it right now so we’ll say that and leave the surprise)
melon/floral
herbal notes
fruity/floral
citrus/floral
earthy/floral
wildflower (wildflowers and default for things not in the system, like foraged room prop flowers)

And then there’s an extra ‘note’ customized to the flower type that gets plugged into the messaging for the regular edible honeys, the tea/coffee honey, and the FT honey.
And the tea/coffee honey and FT honey also reference what type of honey it is (so like wildflower honey, lemon balm honey, desert rose honey, etc)

Tea Honey Example
>wave jar at beehouse
You reach carefully into the mahogany beehouse and coax a piece of comb loose, guiding it into your honey jar before the mournbloom honey can run. The gold bees buzz placidly around your hands, unbothered.
Roundtime: 5 sec.
>twist my jar
Your honey jar will now make blown glass containers. The final design is: a blown glass bottle of (flower) honey with an oak tree-painted label. The label will read: Bestest Bee Honey
>flip my jar
You will now select the custom label inscription when you TWIST the jar.
>flip my jar
You will now select the custom label design when you TWIST the jar.
>twist my jar
Your honey jar will use “beehouse” for the design. The final design is: a blown glass bottle of (flower) honey with a beehouse-painted label. The label will read: Bestest Bee Honey
>flip my jar
You will now select the label design style when you TWIST the jar.
>twist my jar
The honey jar will make honey with beehouse-stenciled labels. The final design is: a blown glass bottle of (flower) honey with a beehouse-stenciled label. The label will read: Bestest Bee Honey
>twist my jar
The honey jar will make honey with beehouse-etched labels. The final design is: a blown glass bottle of (flower) honey with a beehouse-etched label. The label will read: Bestest Bee Honey
>pour my jar
You tip your honey jar and watch the honey pour free, a faint shimmer passing through it as any impurities bleed away. A blown glass bottle of mournbloom honey with a beehouse-etched label coalesces in your hand, warm and gleaming.
>analyze my honey
You analyze the mournbloom honey and sense that the mournbloom honey is an item used to flavor tea and coffee made via brewing, adding to it “the subtle earthy sweetness of mournbloom honey underlying its natural flavors, an undertone of dark cocoa carrying through with quiet persistence.” It has 10 servings left.

You also sense that the item is free from merchant alteration restrictions.

You get no sense of whether or not the honey may be further lightened.

You can point at almost anything, including creatures, to set the 4th label design (if you point again, it’ll override that design)
the first three are merchant-altered

Beeswax you have to set every time, since the beeswax is a separate item and customs don’t carry over, but the jar retains your POINT design until you override it
