in #general-announcements channelHey, spread the word! I know waiting for a Winedotter or Loenthran glassworker has made all you vergless, aragless, and arathiel fashionistas fret. Just in time for Ebon Gate, I wanted to let you know that as long as you have alteration fodder and as long as the merchant WANTS to do the work, I’m going to remove the “must be a Winedotter/Loenthran glassworker merchant” requirement.
All rarity requirements and need for alter fodder remain.
The non-Winedotter or non-Loenthran merchant is NOT performing glassworking, from an IC standpoint. Instead, you are giving them some fodder to take the place of the perfect piece they are taking out of their personal stock made by another artisan — that perfect piece just happens to fit exactly what you asked for.
This way, the integrity of the lore behind how these are made remains (aka, no one has infiltrated the Court of Amethyst Fire and stolen the recipe for arathiel) while allowing you alteration access via merchants.
As always, it is up to the individual GM as to whether or not they want to work on a particular item!
