Subj: Keeping up with the Kestrels!
Set to arrive early next week, Grand Magister Dennet Kestrel and his family will be arriving at the Hendoran Outpost outside of Wehnimer’s Landing.
Dennet Kestrel, with permission from Earl Jovery of Hendor and the Royal Magister of the Hall of Mages, has been assigned to the Outpost to help provide assistance during the re-stabilization of the stronghold. The Outpost suffered countless structural damage, both above and below ground during its extraplanar jaunt to the Ithzir valence, and Dennet is a master in earthen magic and will be assisting in providing new wards, magical defenses, and expansion of the Outpost. His assignment may also include other projects that have not yet been made public at this time.
Traveling with Dennet Kestrel, will be his family. His wife Reannah, his daughter Naimorai, and his son, Cyph. In addition, Drandea, his wife’s mother, will also be accompanying them. It is not known how long the Kestrels will remain in the region, but it’s speculated it could be months, or even a year or more. Sir Michol, the acting Commander of the Outpost after Thadston’s leave, is said to already be preparing living quarters for the Kestrels.
OOC NOTE:
Over the next several months or so I will be out and about doing some NPC/Roleplay with the Kestrels after they arrive in Wehnimer’s Landing. So I would definitely highlight those NPC names. (Dennet, Reannah, Naimorai, Cyph and Drandea.) My focus here is going to be an emphasis on intrigue, some mystery, and lots of role playing. I have details and history drawn up for each of these NPC’s, as well as other interesting facets of their lives, past and present. I look forward to revealing those over time, exploring additional developments, and watching how it all unfolds with you, the players in the mix. Much of this is also open-ended, so let’s see where our mutual storytelling takes us as we enjoy “Keeping up with the Kestrels!”

Any idea as to date/time when this might start?
I really need to go back and find when “Kenstrom Standard Time” is supposed to be so I can see whether I’m able to stay up late for at least a couple interactions.

KST has traditionally been tuesday Wednesday Friday and saturday starting about 10 to 10:30 EST (11 to 11:30 EDT). He usually lets us know if that changes because of RL or school but he has not mentioned a change of late. He will occassionally come around at other times but very rarely. So when he says early next week i am assuming next tuesday.

yeah, too bad i’m usually still at work at 10pm.
Tonight me being at home by 11:30 was a fluke.
I’m usually leaving work at 11:30. :/ My relief usually doesn’t show up until right on the tick …and sometimes is 5-30 minutes late.
Been a rough past year and a half as it pertains to my job. To sum up. i hate my job. I wish i didn’t have my job, but aside from paying bills, it’s also my source of government mandated health insurance.(Which, thank god i have. otherwise i’d not be here after my past couple of illnesses)
Makes me wonder how things are going to work for the Mayoral campaign. Pretty sure i’m going to give it a go this year. 🙂
Did we spring forward last year before all that hootenanny started? i can’t remember.

Just to give a brief summary for those who aren’t following TownCrier…
Dennet investigated sites where pylons were used to great effect during past incidents involving the Ithzir, looking for residual effects from the magic, and collected some soil samples. He mentioned that he’s going to further stabilize the foundations of the Hendoran outpost and protect it with stronger magic so it can’t be sucked into another world again. While on the subject of the Ithzir, the group mentioned being unaware of Rodnay’s whereabouts.
Afterward the group went to the Wayside Inn to chat about plinite and how the town came into possession of it. Hapenlok gave some plinite saved from past incidents to Dennet and the group explained that the Rooks are also still in possession of some, stolen from murdered members of the Hall of Mages.
Dennet asked about the group’s version of the Rooks, saying he’s heard rumors but that only this town would be experts on the subject. The group explained, showing everything from hard opposition to full support to more neutral stances.
Shortly after this, Dennet retired for the night, but Hapenlok noticed that some of his plinite was missing (not the plinite he knew he had handed over). Luxelle also pointed out that Dennet had asked if the Rooks still had a cache of yellow-gold plinite even though nobody mentioned to him what color plinite they’d stolen–a thought that Areigha and Leafiara backed her up on. Balantine, Cruxophim, and Iowen, however, said that the Hall would know what they themselves were transporting, and finally Raelee added that Dennet was briefed on it.

This story has only been in full swing for one day and I’m already like 30 times more interested in it than the last one. Well, either that or I just feel like I’m hitting my stride for RP. Or both!
