From The Office of Prince Voregrek:

It has come to our attention that there is a spot of trouble on the mainland pertaining to half-elves and a mysterious disease. While I know the first instinct of many a dwarf is to sneer with disgust and laugh at the misfortunes of any elf, I remind you thusly. It was not that long ago that our brothers and sisters in the mountains of Kharag ‘doth Dzulthu were stricken once more by one of the worst diseases to ever plague our mighty race, the Red Rot. Untold numbers died, and were it not for the help of ALL races, dwarves, giants, and even the elves, it is possible that we would not be here now to be in a position to attempt to repay that favor.

Henceforth all sick half-elves are welcome to travel, if they are strong enough, to the town of Kharam Dzu to find sanctuary. We will set up areas in the west part of town, as needed, to help care for and alleviate the pain of those that find their way here. If asked to do so, I’m committed to providing the assistance of my best healers and scholars to help search for a cure to help repay those that may have had a hand in our salvation, just a few short years ago.

Dwarven honor demands it.

While I am sympathetic to the cause and I commend the Prince for his gesture, I have a few questions.

Has it been confirmed that it is restricted to Half-Elves or is there a risk of cross contamination to other races?
Doesn’t this heighten the risk of contaminating the present healthy half-elven citizens that already reside here?

I wonder for the sake of Half-Elven friends who are Teras citizens and who visit the Isle off and on.

I am willing to render any assistance I can as I do remember the affects of the Rot almost claiming the life of an old friend of mine.
