Subj: Librarian's Request: A Missive to Commander Cyik
She was covered in blood and bruises when she heard the call: a group was heading to the Library Aies for information. Finding it odd, she left the battle grounds, not taking the time needed to make herself presentable for polite company. What she arrived to was a motley crew of halflings, humans, and a loincloth-clad Sylvan. Dear Kai, could he have just put some more clothes on?, she thought as she averted her eyes. She was there to observe only, thought curiosity was starting to take a slight hold on her. Of the group, a ragged halfling creature and a polite and desperate seeming human spoke the loudest, pleading the the Aies’s librarian for aid and information regarding a faintly glowing core. The librarian asked her if she recognized the item, but having no first hand knowledge, all she could say was it came from the Confluence. Much discussion continued, with her and another from House Illistim growing impatient with the pleas for any and all information for their frozen town besot by a powerhungry queen.

The Librarian turned to the other Elf and her, requesting they go with the group as well, and gather what lore they could for House Illistim, as all information was wanted and welcome. She swore quietly in her head, having no real desire to head to the Icetown as she had her own frozen problems to deal with at home, and reluctantly stated that she would ask leave of her commanding officers. Her presence would do little to help the situation, she was certain, as she was not a student of lore, but of the blade. Still, it was for the sister city, possibly her own home, and certainly NOT that halfling-riddled frozen wasteland.

Taking quill to parchment, she wrote a wrote the details she felt pertained to the situation.

To Lord Legionnaire Commander Cyik Elenelon Vaalor,

Sir, Ta’Illistim was visited this night by a group coming from Icemule, begging aid to keep their people safe from a queen who demanded knowledge and lore regarding one faintly glowing core which I recognize to come from the elemental confluence. They took to the Library Aies, where the librarian told them of an old story speaking of that, and there may be a recipe to be found, only to be worked by a master potion maker within the wizard circle. While I am a student of the blade, and certainly not of magic, the Librarian requested I and another from House Illistim travel to Icemule to follow up on the group’s request, and ascertain what lore could be brought back. I spoke that I would request leave of my commanding officer before I commit, but should it be granted, I will retain contact with both Houses.

By your leave,
Squire Legionnaire Marcelina Agarwaen Vaalor
