Posted within the Lobby of Moot Hall is a Public Notice, written in pale ink on a glossy black parchment. The Notice is dated for the 30th of Lormesta in the Year 5117, and reads as follows:

Esteemed Citizens and Allies of the Landing,

The individual identifying himself as “Rone” remains WANTED and at large; however, violent activity seems to have diminished somewhat after the last significant assault upon the Brotherhood of the Rooks, which left several casualties in its wake. In light of this tragic loss of life among our citizens, I would like to encourage any bereaved families — especially those in poverty, or who find themselves otherwise suddenly unprovided for — to reach out to Moot Hall and my Office, that we might arrange aid for any who need it.

On a lighter note, for any who are experienced with — or might be interested in trying their hand at — theater, playwright Nehor will be holding auditions for performers in his upcoming new play, The Descent: a Tragic Tale of Love, Loss, and Mortality. As one who believes in the importance of patronage of the arts, I have agreed to allocate funding toward this endeavor to supplement the generous donations from many others; in addition to the fame and adoration of the crowd, actors will be paid for their performances, so if any of that sounds appealing… do keep an eye out for the casting call this weekend.

I would also like to congratulate Kasparaitis and Tenser on completing their final training; once again, two fine examples of how to reap the benefits of hard work and dedication.

Just a quick synopsis of the Casting Call.

SO! This is very much an experiment. I wanted to try and do something that’d encourage and reward RP and be fun for those who enjoy doing a bit of IMPROV. Theres plenty of plays and acts you can WATCH out there, but this is one you can have fun being INVOLVED in, and earn some SILVERS too! Maybe it’ll fall on its face? But hell, might as well try it out right?

Here is how it will work.

FRIDAY FEB 2 from 8-11pm EST Nehor and his co-producer will be hosting a CASTING CALL in the landing. (The exact location will be posted later this evening)

If there is enough interest, this will be extended to SATURDAY FEB 3 as well. If you cannot make either of those days and times and STILL want to be involved, please contact me in game or over discord (Whick#8268) and we’ll arrange something. I want to give everyone a chance to participate and be as inclusive as possible.

You will have a chance to AUDITION for a part. The roles possible will be listed later in the post. Using ACTS, VERBS, TONES, and PROPS you will be asked to act out a Scene. You can do this as a GROUP, a DUO, or SOLO. After everyone who wants to Auditions, we’ll deliberate and on Monday we will post the people chosen to play a role.

IF YOU ARE CHOSEN FOR A ROLE, you will be expected to come to 1 Rehearsal and then the actual Performance (the times for these will be decided after roles are decided). These events should only take between 1-2 hours each. So thats a maximum of 4 hours of your time, split up over 2 instances.

AFTER THE PERFORMANCE, you will also be COMPENSATED for your time with Silver! The amount will be based on your ROLE and how much we are able to raise between now and the plays end. As of this writing, Ive raised 20 MILLION silver to distribute to my little actors and actresses. Im expecting to be able to raise more, but not knowing how much? Well, I cant give you any amount.

YOU DONT HAVE TO BE GOOD AT ROLEPLAY TO PERFORM. This is about having FUN. Wanna come and flub your performance? THATS OK 🙂 Wanna come and ask for tips on how to present a scene better? We will help and work with you!

HERE ARE THE POSSIBLE ROLES and some advice on how to play them:

Narrator: Use of tones and verbage is very very important here. A loud, clear presentation is important as well

Divine Male Lead (oddly Nehor looking in costuming): Yuck this up. Be as haughty, heroic, and mary-sue as possible.

Female Lead: Song and proper Meter and Rhyming scheme will be what we are looking for.

Villain (oddly Mayoral looking in costuming): Think Dr. Claw from go go gadget. Gargamel from the Smurfs. 🙂

Militia Henchmen: Ever seen the Three Stooges? Yup. This is the comic relief of the play. A chance to exercise your Bumbling Buffoonery

Extras: If you can think of a cool role we need like…COSTUME DESIGNER or STAGE HAND. Sell it to me.

Members of the Orchestra: Use of the proper music styles to set the tones, and almost entirely going to be ACTS.

FURTHER NOTE: Is your character a chick but you wanna try out for the male lead? Or is he a Dude and you wanna be the prettiest princess in all the lands? YOU DEFINITELY CAN. Just remember, when it comes time for performance? You will have to dress the part 🙂
