Subj: A Visit from Alendrial

We had a surprising visitor last night: Alendrial deArchon, the half-elven ex-wife of the onetime Town Council member Stephos deArchon (for background, he’s the one who was supplying weapons to invading krolvin slavers, so not a nice guy). Alendrial has her own checkered past and was once the leader of the Rooks, but the Rooks were run rather differently under her than they have been under Rysus, whose tactics are often more questionable. She and Stephos have wiki pages about them for anyone who wants to read more about their history, but the message she brought most recently is entirely related to current events.

She’s working with or at the head of (not sure which, as she didn’t specify) a group called the Scions and attempting to help half-elves and other persecuted people flee Imperial lands safely. She came to us asking for the Landing’s help, essentially making us a key stop on an underground railroad of sorts. After talking with a group of people outside town, she asked the mayor to consider her request for safe passage, food, supplies, and other essentials:

>Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian asks, “If we help as I said those that come have to understand these rules. They follow the laws of this city while here. They are not wanted in this town and if so have to work for a pardon. Those wanted for anything beyond Chaston’s cleasning I will not simply over look. I will help against this false prelate but my genoristy will not be abused. Deal?”

>Alendrial says, “I am aware, laws, laws. I understand.”

>Alendrial says, “We will be sojourners, nothing more.”

So far, there’s been no official word. Puptilian wants to bring the matter up to the Town Council, and Alendrial’s uneasy about that. Many characters, including Pup, have pledged their personal help regardless of the town’s official decisions.
