Subj: Lord Brieson's PLAN for Larsya and the Everblood
<Hi everyone – here’s a brief summary of the “Plan” for Larsya. A heavily edited log regarding the plan follows for those that are interested it some of the discussion points. It was over 200 pages when I started (why do I have to look at every damn person in the room every time!!!). If I trimmed something relevant that someone remembers, I beg forgiveness as I am running on very little sleep. (love EG!!) This is an OOC presentation of info that is known IC
Please note: A special Kenstrom Thursday night is planned for tonight (Thurs. Oct 27) to continue the Lord Brieson discussion. Apparently, no storyline is planned for tomorrow (Fri. Oct 28).
A list of the recovered backpack of toys that were Raznel’s will follow in a separate post.>

Last night a group of adventurers gathered with Lord Brieson within the Alchemist’s Room in the Hendoran Outpost. Brieson wished to share a few ideas he had developed with Pylasar with regard to the Everblood and what Larsya was suffering. Larsya’s blood apparently contains an epochxin, which is venom or blood from a primal oculoth of some sort. This substance may counteract the Everblood.
There is a risk involved with taking Larsya out of stasis to try any experimentation. Lord Brieson proposes to venture to a location within the Southron Wastelands where there is some sort of extraplanar beacon for these primals. He hopes that the scent of Larsya’s blood will be enough to draw the demons forth, whereby we shall harvest their blood for experimentation. Of course, nothing will go wrong.

[Hendoran Outpost, Alchemist]
Brieson says, “I am sorry for keeping you all so long.”
Brieson says, “Tonight, we may be able to take a few steps forward.”
Speaking interestedly to Brieson, Cruxophim prompts, “I should love to hear what your research has uncovered.”
Brieson says, “I’ve spoken with Pylasar on a few matters.”
Brieson says, “Today, yesterday, and apparently tomorrow.”
Brieson says, “According to him.”
Brieson smirks.
Brieson asks, “I understand, we may have some Everblood….blood..yes?”
Leafiara says, “Ah! We do.”
Leafiara offers Brieson a thin iron-encased vial.
Brieson accepts Leafiara’s iron-encased vial.
Brieson asks, “From…? Disean?”
Leafiara says, “This was collected from Disean.”
Leafiara says, “Yes.”
Leafiara says, “Magister Raelee should also have a sample.”
Brieson says, “Pylasar has essentially recused himself from this ordeal, but has given me a few things to pursue.”
Brieson says, “Especially when it comes to Raznel.”
Brieson says, “One, I acquired some items left behind, here, of all places.”
Brieson says, “We presume by the witch.”
Brieson says, “Sir Thadston and Sir Michol had them safely stored, not even opened, until I had time to get here.”
Brieson says, “I have them all in a pack.”
Brieson says, “I’ll have you all go through it shortly.”
Brieson says, “I am glad we have the Everblood sample. It may prove beneficial, or not, but we must try.”
Brieson says, “I will admit, blood magic…these sort of things…”
Brieson says, “Not my…specialty.”
Brieson says, “However, I am still of a mind that, Larsya’s blood is needed.”
Brieson asks, “The concern was draining the girl, and losing her, correct?”
Lylia asks, “How much of a risk to the girl might this present?”
Leafiara says, “That it was.”
Speaking carefully to Brieson, Cruxophim clarifies, “Breaking the seal on the coffin, specifically.”
Brieson nods.
Evia says, “We barely got her into it in time as it is.”
Brieson says, “We may have another way.”
Brieson says, “It is still not ideal.”
Brieson says, “But, perhaps slightly less risky.”
Brieson says, “Pylasar has told me, that while he does not know of any cure or counter to Everblood, he seemed to recall some details of a time in the Southron Wastes.”
Brieson says, “I’ve also done some additional research from some of the tomes I carried back from Nydds…”
Goldstr asks, “Wolfloner’s vision?”
Brieson says, “One, strangely authored by two Faendryl brothers…”
Brieson looks over at Goldstr and shakes his head.
Brieson says, “It’s theorized…”
Brieson says, “Or more, stated, and I sort of assume is a theory until we are for certain…”
Brieson says, “Epochxin is blood.”
Brieson says, “Yes, a poison, veno.”
Brieson says, “Venom.”
Brieson says, “Which, in essence, it is.”
Brieson says, “But they claim it is blood.”
Brieson says, “Which is why, Larsya’s blood is important. It is, essentially, Epochxin….in theory…I believe…”
Brieson says, “But, we cannot use her blood.”
Brieson says, “Or, do not want too, at this time.”
Brieson says, “So the alternative I’ve discussed and researched…”
Brieson says, “There exists in the Southron Wastes, a…”
Brieson says, “Gathering spot.”
Brieson says, “Beacon, if you will.”
Brieson says, “Where a specific creature could be summoned, had we the right lure.”
Brieson says, “The only text I’ve found on them, refers to them as Primals.”
Brieson says, “They are, based on all descriptions, oculoths.”
Brieson says, “We can only surmise based on their given name.”
Brieson says, “Pylasar did not suggest this….”
Brieson says, “But given the information he told me, the blood of these demons may well be Epochxin.”
Brieson says, “A critical ingredient we’ll need to counter Everblood.”
Brieson asks, “The trick to luring them out?”
Brieson says, “More Epochxin. Their scent. Their blood.”
Brieson says, “Larsya.”
Brieson says, “Here is what I propose.”
Speaking carefully to Brieson, Cruxophim objects, “I… fail to see how most would view that as better, unless…. we find a way to simulate her blood.”
Madmountan says, “So we risk her life by taking some blood, or risk her life baiting her to demons.”
Speaking to Brieson, Legaci says, “The Faendryl did not nor could control the beings you suggest to trick. How many times have any here tricked an unknown demon.”
Brieson says, “Instead of the original idea of draining her blood or using just enough hoping not to harm her…”
Brieson says, “We can have a doorway opened to the Southron Wastes. There, we’ll be prepared for anything….”
Brieson says, “We’ll move Larsya’s coffin into the Wastes, for just a very, very short time.”
Brieson says, “I will use my magic to help duplicate the powers of the Reach temporarily, so that, in theory, she should not age or be harmed…”
Brieson says, “You will be responsible for harvesting the blood of the Primals.”
Speaking neutrally to Brieson, Cruxophim ventures, “How will the beasts detect the blood through the seal of the coffin?”
Brieson says, “Once we gather enough, we retreat, and restore Larsya to the shadow of the Reach.”
Brieson says, “I am not certain they will. But, I would imagine creatures of this power magnitutde could.”
Brieson says, “It’s risky, yes.”
Leafiara seriously asks, “Just to be clear, we intend to have our own physical presence there, yes? Standing around her coffin guarding it as we harvest blood?”
Speaking unhappily to Brieson, Cruxophim speculates, “Duplicating her blood may also require a sample, it seems most of our other options are contingent upon breaking the seal even briefly, so…”
Brieson says, “The first option, draining Larsya’s blood, well, one, we are not certain we’ll even have enough. Two, we’re not certain it won’t kill her, or we can even harmlessly drain it in enough time.”
Brieson nods at Leafiara.
Kiske says, “Hold on.”
Speaking calmly to Brieson, Cruxophim responds, “But we can harvest the epochxin directly through that means.”
Speaking to Brieson, Roelaren asks, “Would we have to drain it to at least test it to see if it would work?”
Katiesa neutrally says, “So we still use her without consent.”
Brieson says, “In some ways, yes.”
Brieson nods at Katiesa.
Speaking to Brieson, Kiske asks, “If these creatures are powerful enough to sense this Epoxy stuff through the coffin seal….wouldn’t they be powerful enough to smell even a drop of it? Why can’t we just get a few drops of her blood?”
Brieson says, “Perhaps her father can know, or not.”
Roelaren says, “Drain her blood i am meaning, surly not to just test it.”
Speaking pragmatically to Kiske, Cruxophim says, “Same problem, all answer require breaching the seal of the coffin.”
Brieson says, “I do not know if just a few drops would suffice in bringing them.”
Brieson says, “For all purposes, her coffin, body inside, would be like a beacon.”
Brieson says, “A watchtower ushering them to her.”
Speaking curiously to Brieson, Cruxophim ventures, “And why would these lovely beasts be so drawn to her blood, in particular? The epochxin?”
Rowmi neutrally reasons, “Surely there is another way to hunt these creatures. Another bait, or simply tracking them down.”
Brieson nods at Cruxophim.
Speaking curiously to Brieson, Cruxophim ventures, “So they are drawn to the blood of their own kind?”
Speaking to Brieson, Katiesa asks, “If this is done, could it lean to knowledge that will help her as well?”
Brieson says, “It’s also possible they kill each other, hunt each other.”
Speaking to Brieson, Lylia says, “They almost certainly do.”
Brieson says, “I am not certain for sure, the finer details of why they’d be drawn to it.”
Speaking to Brieson, Leafiara says, “You could have mentioned the possibility that they hunt each other sooner.”
Brieson says, “I just thought of it.”
Brieson shrugs at Leafiara.
Brieson says, “When asked.”
Brieson says, “Why they’d be drawn to her blood to begin with.”
Speaking to Brieson, Kiske asks, “Is there any chance we could re-create the situation in the Southron Wastes here? so that we don’t have to move her?”
Leafiara says, “Fair.”
Brieson looks over at Kiske and shakes his head.
Brieson says, “One, that would be dangerous to this town and the people.”
Brieson says, “Secondly, there exists in the wastes a special, nexus if you will.”
Brieson says, “I will try to learn more of what I can, on the Primals.”
Brieson removes a frayed black pack from in his brown longcoat.
Brieson says, “Are you the highest ranking militia present.”
Brieson peers quizzically at Shinann.
Speaking to Brieson, Legaci requests, “Time, despite the lack of it in this case we need only a little more of it to come up with a better means to approach this. The Faendryl have already lost a Blade to the region you seek a cure. It their best lost, seek elves which also hold the insight needed without such a dangerous approach?”
Brieson says, “I didn’t follow all of that.”
Brieson asks, “What Blade was lost to the Southron Wastes?”
Legaci says, “My common not the best. Find another way.”
Brieson says, “I think we’re running out of time for other ideas.”
Lylia says, “The Blade, Aralyte, was not lost to the Southron Wastes. She was lost in a different valence, although really, such discussions are murky at best.”
Lylia says, “Unless there was another Blade you meant? We do not misplace them like silverware, you know.”
Brieson says, “The Southron Wastes is….in our world.”
Brieson nods at Legaci.
Brieson says, “We’re not going into any other worlds.”
Brieson says, “If anything, we’d be bringing them to us.”
Brieson moves to stand in front of Shinann.
Brieson says, “I’m going to go collect a few more tomes, and return tonight, or tomorrow night.”
Brieson says, “But, in the meantime..”
Brieson offers Shinann a frayed black pack.
Brieson says, “If you’d all stay for a bit.”
Shinann accepts Brieson’s black pack.
Brieson says, “I’d like you to go through some of the items we retrieve when you all retook the Outpost.”
Brieson says, “Left over from, we presume, Raznel.”
Brieson says, “I will return tonight, but, likely tomorrow night instead.”
Brieson says, “Please record and catalogue what you all discover.”
Brieson chuckles.
Brieson says, “I will return tomorrow night.”
(OOC) Brieson’s player whispers to the group, “Yes, tomorrow. THurs. Special Kenstrom Night.”
(OOC) Brieson’s player whispers to the group, “Also, nothing on Fri night. Final night of EG, so, that is also why tomorrow/Thurs.”

I know what proceeded after was not posted, but I just want to thank everyone, especially Lylia’s player, for picking up my slack. For those that were not in my group, my batteries in my mouse died and it was a mad scramble here to get some. Then, after I got them in, the little plastic plate decided it didn’t want to stay on, so I was having to hold and type a few things. I kept seeing all the inquiring stares and I’m just hoping I proceeded in the correct manner, as far as what we were supposed to be doing, etc… I never thought “give pack to Lylia” would take so long to type with one hand! Thanks to everyone that put up with my long silences and apparent disinterest. Since I’m in the South, I finally decided to use the great Southern fixer… Duct tape! Again, thanks to Lylia’s player for picking up the ball and running with it.

Secondly, Kenstrom, I’m not even sure we discovered what you wanted us to discover! So, we can talk about it tonight. I know you heard from me OOC several times, if I should keep everything together. That was me pushing my up key, while holding the plastic battery plate. hehe You finally said, keep it together, which made sense because it’s evidence. At least that’s what I seemed to recall reading. There was tons of me scrolling back, holding my battery plate, trying to find stuff out, etc… I know you were having things you were having to juggle on your end, so it was a bit hectic for both of us. I’m never afk during these events, so always assume it’s a mechanical problem, if it happens again.

Thanks to everyone in the room for not knocking me over and grabbing that pack out of my hand, when I saw everyone inquiring and looking at me and I was trying to fix the blasted batteries. New keyboard is being order RSN!

It sounds like a great RP opportunity.

The fact that there are two physical copies seems to leave room for someone to come across one of them at some point in time (with or without your permission).

If you truly wanted to keep it a secret for all time, why even keep a physical document?

Anyhow, hope you take this as an opportunity to stretch and grow your character a bit!

Thank you for posting… I knew I’d be too busy today to do this since I’ve mostly organized my work schedule around the story hours, so doing too much on Thursday was out of the picture since it’s not normally a story day. (Speaking of that, I might be late tonight, but I will be there one way or another, so don’t anyone fret if Leafi’s needed for some reason!)
