He spits hot fire.

Really though. Super brief and incomplete.
-Larysa is out of the coffin. Shes stable but still aged and someone said shes in a memory loop.
-Gavrien and Kippe were cured of the black veins. Maggots came out of their scalps.
-Leaf is still being watched as a test study.

Please expand or clarify as needed.

Expanding briefly:

-With her father’s permission (according to Brieson), Larsya is woken from her stasis since the Hall believes they can halt her aging, albeit not reverse it yet. She thinks she’s still a kid playing pirate, but when she sees her wrinkled arm, she panics and calls for her father. Shortly afterward, she somehow reverts to thinking she’s a pirate again. Some (player) characters speculate that she’s in such shock that her mind regresses or suppresses the shock, but others think that the temporal effects on her forcibly revert her, keeping her frozen within a limited window of time.

While this is going on, a figure who seems to be about the height of the Baron appears above the group watching the seen before him, but even if it’s him, he doesn’t come down to see his daughter. Left without a solution for now, Larsya is eventually taken away to private quarters by some soldiers.

-Leafiara’s test: she briefly feels some pain, but seemingly less than Shinann since she stays lucid the entire time as her veins expand and bubble. Crux takes a blood sample with her permission and then the veins thin back out, but whether that’s correlation or casuation is ambiguous! No full cure yet, but she’s set to wait and see if the salve takes effect, noting how she feels in the meanwhile.

-Gavrien’s test: after his face starts smoking up, the veins seem to come alive and move up under his hair, then all of his hair falls from his head, leaving him bald. The hair on the ground forms into mostly-harmless maggots that try to attack the group. Gavrien’s not very pleased with this turn of events, but the veins themselves are cured.

-Kippe’s test: the only one present (maybe the only one period?) who had the veins on his hands instead of somewhere on his face. After the salve is applied, his fingers swell and bloat to such a disgusting degree that the group and Kippe himself agree the best solution is quick amputation, which Lylia obliges–and Crux also tries to do his part with a saw (LOL), but Lylia’s faster about it. After being healed up, he’s fine and cured.

Somewhere in all of this, several characters speculate about why the veins appear in different locations. Ultimately they don’t get to any conclusion, but it’s something to think about and I’m bringing it up since Brieson himself talked about it.

That whole series of events was a lot more engaging and hilarious than I had anticipated. The comments and ribbing after Gav’s hair loss were great. My favorite:

(Maylan haws on Gavrien’s bald head and attempts to draw her intials in the fog of her breath.)

This is how I picture Gavrien in his severe state of hair envy: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FaLuUZWpttY/U15dzhCVylI/AAAAAAAAIeA/1A5_kkTscOs/s1600/xavier.JPG

I’m still giggling. Fun times in the lab!

Gaaaaah, my kingdom for an edit button to erase that super bad seen/scene typo. 😛 That’s what I get for rushing that out before I had to leave the house, I guess.

Other things I get for rushing too much:

-While Shinann had felt a hot sensation during her test, Leafi felt a cold one and fretted (or at least tried to, but excuse my typing blunders) that if they had opposite reactions and Shinann had gotten better, then she (Leafiara) must be getting worse.

-I don’t know how I managed to leave this one out, but the fingers of Kippe’s severed arms came to life and attacked us! This was fun, but it was kind of impossible to follow up Gavrien. 😉

-Ylandra speculated that maybe the veins appeared in different places depending on the type of elven heritage. Reflecting on that, Leafi noted that she and Shinann–both half-sylvan–had veins appear on their necks, but she (Leafi) also has them on her cheeks.

Kippe had the veins on his neck, face and arms/hands. Though his elven culture IS Ta’Illistim, I’ve set his culture in the game to Faendryl. He prefers not to admit understanding both. I know it’s cheating a bit, but until we’re allowed to learn other languages, it’s the only way for some of his back story.

Last night was one of my most enjoyable nights EVER. Thanks to all of you who helped make it so!

I can’t seem to properly respond in kind with something more appropriate, but a google image search for ‘angry bald man’ has some pretty fantastic results, if far too white. Do recommend.

Walking in tonight to a whole bunch of ribbing and glances made me snortlaugh, though.
