Ixix updates those Guild Task Masters

GM IXIX announces a Memory Upgrade to Profession Guild Taskmasters. It’s welcome news, but they’re still the masters of all your tasks, though.

Subj: Profession Guild Taskmasters get a Memory Upgrade
Hi everybody,

The Profession Guild Taskmasters will now remember when you trade in a task – and they’ll do their best for a short time to not re-assign that task to you. This is only for the most recently traded in task, and there’s a 10 minute window to get a new task – after the timer is up they’ll forget what you traded in. Whether you’ve used a trade-in voucher or not should have no bearing on this update.

As a disclaimer, not all tasks can be traded, and if the moons align poorly for you might still end up with the same task (but I hope not – I tried really hard).

To be specific – this includes Warrior Guild, Rogue Guild, Sorcerer Guild, and Alchemy skill training.

Thanks for making a few changes to this! Always happy to see stuff like this happen.

It’d be REALLY nice to see the negatives for turning stuff in be a little lower, or maybe none at all…

I think this may have caused some issues with the Taskmasters. I’ve had it break twice on me today while trading in with Vouchers where the Taskmaster thought they assigned me a task but none was visible in my GLD menu. Got it fixed this morning then next time I tried same reaction.

Lock Mastery.

When I asked for training I received the following:

Boucher assays you with a critical eye and says, “Let’s find you something to do to earn a rank in Lock Mastery.” Boucher rubs his chin thoughtfully, then continues, “Lock Mastery” Boucher also adds, “Repeat this 8 times.”

When I check my GLD MENU:

You have 31 ranks in the Lock Mastery skill.
You need 42 training points to earn your next rank.
You have not been assigned a current task for this skill.

If I try to ask for training again:

Boucher says, “You need to finish the task I gave you before you can continue. If you’d rather not do this task, ask me about TRADING it. Be warned, however, that trading in your task will require you to do additional training to earn your rank, and I won’t guarantee that you’ll be given a different task.”
