Written hastily in scripted common, a piece of thin white parchment is tacked to the willow in the town commons:

Fellow citizens, River Rats, and family-

I have received word that the Prelate Chaston Griffin is due to head towards our town on Feast Day of this week. This is the same man who sent mindless soldiers to attack one of our most sacred places in our town, the shrine of Aeia in the citadel gardens, just a couple months ago.

Anyone who can fight will need to be present. The Prelate and his army do not act fairly nor do they show mercy, so neither will we.

Sharpen your steel, don your armor, and raise your magical defenses…we are at war.

By my hand,
Kayse Thaellian

(OOC) You quietly whisper to Riend, “What’s the verb for glancing at someone and exhaling?”
(OOC) Farain’s player whispers, “I think its kiss farain.”

Do we have any idea on when during Feast Day the False Prelate is supposed to be making an appearance? I’d love to help defend our home, but I’ve got concert IRL that evening (pacific time). ::frown::

So, what you’re saying is … you don’t want to wiz all over this prelate’s cassock?

As much fun as I had RPing with Star during the storyline with the wanna-be gnome, fighting with him during invasions is more of a chore then anything else. Besides, I’m sure the GMs will be thankful if they don’t have to deal with his antics.

My main problem with bringing Hesha home for this is that I never really fleshed him out as a character. He’s got a back story and skill, but no consistent personality of his own. Having an excuse to use 435/open 720 IS tempting though.

Sixle and my warrior are both skilled enough to handle their own in RR invasions so long as they join a group and the GMs don’t toss in any capped/near-cap critters. They also have fairly well fleshed out personalities… but they’re both also one itchy-curse/DISARM away from me drinking a bottle of rum in a single night.

That’s okay, they can have Kaldonis instead.

Now you’re comparing an apple to a REALLY strong Screwdriver (the drink, not the tool)

Yeah but the apple is moldy and full of worms.

Now I know why I don’t participate in more storylines…. I wish folk would learn there’s a difference between evening and night. Now I’m hungry as heck and I can’t even order anything cause I just know the second the delivery guy knocks stuff will start and I’ll be out of the loop.

This might be as good a place as any?

To the player of Ariond:
Wow I’m so sorry Kaldonis imploded your character. I really seriously hope it’s cool. Not between our characters, but at least between us as players. I had not really planned on that. I think from the circumstance and the event we were all a little on edge and…well we can discuss it here publicly or you are free to email me by my PLAY.NET handle.
Anyway, maybe I was just secretly hoping for blood and conflict and it was such a bummer that nothing happened. I hope the highlight of my night was not at your expense.

I expect there would be a severe hostility between these two specific characters of ours, but I want to make sure that as players we are having fun with this.
