Thanks for letting in the unwashed masses!

Quick recap because I have zero energy to clean a log:

Many people gathered in Solhaven’s North Market waiting for word of the gates to Vornavis opening. Eventually an announcement was heard that the sally gate on Liabo Esplanade would be opening shortly to admit those who wished to attend the court session. All and sundry made their way over, gate opened, and we moved on through.

The chamberlain gave a brief reminder on decorum and announced the arrival of Baron Dunrith Malwind and his son, Lord Salnim Malwind.

First order of business was an announcement that the Order of the Azure Sun had been entered into the Tomes of Immuron, confirming their standing as an officially recognized knightly order within the Turamzzyrian Empire. (Congrats, guys!)

Second order of business was a statement from the Baron acknowledging the recent tragedy in the Landing (the attack on Lady Larsya of Bourth) and increase in divisive and racist rhetoric. Baron Dunrith Malwind stated explicitly and in no uncertain terms that the Barony of Vornavis welcomes all races.

Next, petitioners were heard. Puptillan, Mayor of Wehnimer’s Landing, spoke in a similar vein to Malwind’s proclamation, asserting that the Landing would continue to be a home for all races and all beliefs, and reinforcing his stance of opposition to Prelate Chaston Griffin’s crusade in Koar’s name.

As Baron Malwind was commenting on this, word began to trickle in via the amunet that some number of Chaston’s followers had been sighted leaving the vicinity of the Landing and heading south toward Vornavis.

The second petitioner was Irar, a Templar of Koar. He asked the Baron what action he might be taken against the Blameless should they begin to push their agenda in the environs of Vornavis. Baron Malwind noted that the laws against unwarranted violence and destruction of property extended to all within the Barony.

Sir Aydan Mursilis was the third petitioner. He also spoke against Chaston’s recent actions and influence, but was interrupted by the arrival of the man himself.

Chaston’s followers were heard first, the din of their loud praises echoing from outside the hall. Chaston arrived with his customary grin and proceeded to address the Baron and, by extension, those present. He brought instruction and a warning, insisting that the Baron clear Solhaven of its unseemly temples and shrines to the gods of Lornon.

The Baron in turn engaged Chaston in discussion of the Prelate’s abandonment of the people of Talador and their physical needs, calling him out on his use of funds to further his religious aims instead of feeding his people — a duty of charity that had fallen upon nearby territories, including Vornavis. The repartee went back and forth for some time before Chaston retreated, his message relayed.

Baron Malwind called an end to the audience due to the late hour and the people dispersed.

And finally, a quick capture of the great hall and the Vornavis NPCs:

[Vornavis, Great Hall]
On a low dais, spanning the southern end of the hall, three regal chairs of state rest before an embroidered tapestry of the Rising Swan of Vornavis that covers the wall behind them. Banners bearing the coats-of-arms of knights in service to the barony hang from the railing of the second floor gallery that lines the other three sides of the Great Hall. Opposite the dais a pair of large fel doors, inlaid with gold scrolling, are set in the north wall. You also see an aged chamberlain and a small side door.
Also here: Whole buncha people.
Obvious exits: out

You see Baron Dunrith Malwind.
He appears to be a Half-Elf from Vornavis.
He appears to be middle-aged. He has green eyes and fair skin. He has receding, light brown hair.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a golden baronial coronet adorned with emerald swans, a pristine white cloak trimmed with green velvet, a white-trimmed green silk surcoat, a gleaming emerald tunic emblazed with a white swan, a white leather belt with gold studs, a dark green leather scabbard bound in white gold, some snow white trousers with dark green striping down the legs, and a pair of bronze-buckled black boots.

You see Lord Salnim Malwind.
He appears to be a Human from Vornavis.
He appears to have come of age. He has thick-lashed hazel eyes and ruddy skin. He has tied back, shoulder-length light brown hair with reddish highlights. He has an oval face, an aquiline nose and high cheekbones.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a thin silver coronet, a dark green cloak lined with white silk, a bright white pearl swan pendant, a brilliant white tunic embroidered with green scrollwork, a small glaes ring inlaid with a baronial crest, a white leather belt with silver studs, a dark green leather scabbard bound in silver, some emerald green riding pants edged with white trim, and some shiny black leather boots.

You see Gurbah Klaah, the half-ogre half-bull centaur.
His age is impossible to determine. His long, white hair flows back into his mane, he has black eyes, and dark skin.
His lower body is covered with fine grey hair, and his hooves appear to be shod with mithril shoes. He is wearing a dark green tabard and barding emblazoned on the chest and both flanks with a white swan rising, a heavy leather harness, some gleaming steel half plate, and some leather gauntlets.

Cendadric says, “Hmm, a most impressive weapon of note. I’ll give you 110 silver coins for it.”
You think to yourself, “Do I detect… sarcasm? Surely not.”
