Mere days ago, Prelate Chaston Griffin arrived in River’s Rest where he announced that an exclusive trade agreement between the Barony of Talador and the County of Torre had been established. In this agreement, Talador would use Torre as its primary location for the shipping of blood marble all throughout the western coastline of the Turamzzyrian Empire. In exchange for such a deal, the County of Torre has assigned a fleet of their warships to aid Prelate Chaston and his holy crusade, which has engulfed much of the Northern provinces to date. In addition, a High Temple of Koar shall be constructed in River’s Rest, which will in time house a new high priest of the Church, to be hand-picked by Chaston.

The Prelate extended a one-time offer to the denizens of River’s Rest, who in the past have always been at odds with Torre. With the new exclusive business set to keep the ports of Torre busy and wealthy, the Prelate has welcomed River’s Rest to turn away from their previous lives of depravity and piracy and be embraced in the new glory that the County of Torre shall find. It took only seconds for the citizens of River’s Rest to reject the notion and the Prelate and his crusaders were told to leave immediately, which they did without any violence.

During the Prelate’s speech in River’s Rest, a host of Blameless crusaders, led by Drangell, sprung an ambush attack on Wehnimer’s Landing. Matters turned worse, when countless townspeople, all loyal to Prelate Chaston, took to the streets to help the Blameless, and fought against the town’s defenders.

Many adventurers rallied to the North Docks of Wehnimer’s Landing, using a mana pylon to fire on Torren ships that had come into view, likely hostile. A few ships were destroyed, but the rest backed off, still lingering in the sea near Wehnimer’s Landing. Reports have now come in that indicate the Torren ships have formed a partial blockade outside of Darkstone Bay, heavily scrutinizing, or outright preventing, specific ships from entering or leaving Wehnimer’s Landing. One Vornavian vessel was turned back, warned to depart or they’d be fired on.

The battle in Wehnimer’s Landing turned even further against them, when Koarite Hendoran soldiers turned on their own brothers, and commander, and took control of the Hendoran Outpost in the grasslands. Sir Thadston and many of his men, whom did not swear loyalty to Chaston and Koar, were apprehended. In addition, the once captive Lord Ambrus, Disean, and Baron Spensor Caulfield of Bourth were freed. It is assumed the Baron, highest ranking imperial noble in the region, now commands the Outpost. Furthermore, the Hendoran flag was pulled down, replaced by the golden crown emblem of the Church of Koar.

In the end, the fighting in the streets of Wehnimer’s Landing died down to a standstill, with Drangell and the Blameless barricading off a portion of the East side of the town. Archers are said to fire on those standing outside of the barricades for too long. While nothing yet has been spotted on the other side of the barricades, some locals have heard further sounds of construction, almost at all hours of the day. Whatever is transpiring, it won’t be long now.

Despite Prelate Chaston’s bold maneuvers, it is still reported that Lheren Hochstib, Second Watcher of the Church of Koar, remains in route to Wehnimer’s Landing to help try to deescalate the issues that are fermenting. His arrival is expected to come sometime this week.

While Mestanir, Bourth and Torre have publically joined Prelate Chaston and the holy crusade out of Talador, the rest of the north remains at odds with them. North Hendor remains in a time of war and upheaval admist reports of Bourthian soldiers spotted having marched towards Mensyl Keep. Jantalar has taken a stand, cutting off their weapon shipments to Talador. In Vornavis, despite their Baron seemingly falling ill, has dispatched his son to Tamzzyr to awaken the heart of the Empire. South Hendor remains untouched in these events so far, but already rumors indicate the large Earldom is making certain preparations should conflict move into their region.

After both Vornavis and Jantalar have dispatched urgent missives and messengers to Tamzzyr, many speculate that an announcement from Emperor Aurmont Anodheles could come as early as this weekend.
