Let it be known to any that would test the skies of Elanith, that the Fortress does not sleep in answer to the invaders now prowling.
Scouts of the Crimson Legion maintain vigilant observation of the airships of this so-called Empyrean Syndicate, and every report sharpens the Fortress’s understanding of this new enemy. House Vaalor does not and will not act in haste, nor in ignorance. We have not endured the ages by doing either.
A call to arms has been issued across all Vaalorian territories. Citizens whose century of service yet awaited them have been called to begin it now, and veterans of distinguished service have answered our summons to return to active duty. The ranks of our Airship Legion swell. Do not mistake this preparation for fear. We are whetting our blades.
By order of the Crown, the Legion’s engineers have been organized into two task forces, the first charged with the study of the invaders’ technologies such that any advantages may become Vaalor’s own. The Legion has graciously dispatched a delegation from this task force westward to lend Vaalorian expertise to the Empire’s own efforts. The second is charged with the expansion of the fleet and its armaments to ensure we may meet any threat from above with unyielding force.
The Syndicate has not dared to violate Vaalorian airspace. This is wisdom on their part. The Crown encourages them to keep it.
The skies above the Fortress, and above every settlement and holding within Vaalorian borders, shall know an increased and unrelenting Legion presence. Further, the Crown extends this pledge to its elven kin: the shield of elvenkind holds, whether the enemy comes by land or air. Should the great city-states of the Elven Nations require reinforcement against this unprecedented threat, the Crimson Legion will answer. The skies of the elven people will not be ceded.
