TIP: Luxelle suggested these Six Hacks for Searching for GemStone information, even from the old Play.net orum. For that moment when you or your bestie realize there’s no search box at the old Officials.
Use Google to search one of the sister-product URLs, which, for some reason, they let be searchable:Alas, the old domains are no longer connected – 18 May 2026 ~L.L. (Archive.org might be an option if you find an old URL from a Google search, thought.)
site:tinyheroes.com SEARCH TERM/S HERE (remember to make GemStoneIV one of your search terms)- Search the gswiki (Also search Google without the site: option, it can sometimes find things better at the wiki than the wiki can. Thankfully, our wiki IS able to be indexed by Google)
- If it has happened in since 2016, search the TownCrier: http://gstowncrier.com
- If it was an older update to the game, look over the GemStone ChangeLog that Miss Leafi made for a few years at the TownCrier. There’s a detailed summary for each year from 2019 to 2022. (After that, the changelog started happening at the GS Wiki. Check the wiki front page for that.)
https://gstowncrier.com/category/gsiv_changelog/ - There is a GS specific search engine that can find the darndest things! http://gs4search.surge.sh/
- There is some historical data stored in old messages at the Player’s Corner web site, use that url for a Google site search like option 1 with site:gsplayers.com
Do note that because of the age of the site, it is difficult to reach, may not adhere to modern security standards, and some browsers will not even display content from that site. Sometimes Google and Archive.org can help you find safer links to the archived information.
