UPDATE: GM Nyxus announced that people using the Arcane Barrier (1720) spell will be able to cast open spells via a magic item use. Example spells that will work now might be Elemental Wave (410), Call Wind (912), V’tull’s Fury (1718), and others. Let him know if you find one that is not cooperative!

Players with 1720 active should no longer be prevented from casting “open” spells via magic item use. Examples of such spells include but are not limited to: 410, 912 and 1718. Please @ me if you continue to see this behavior. Thanks!
