The other night, we had a masquerade ball at the Faendryl Enclave’s Alabaster Spire. It was open to everyone, but we were all surprised to see this visitor:

A dense fog filters in from somewhere, and obscures your vision.

From right behind you, Xorus’s voice deeply says, “You will face justice.”

You see Xorus Kul’shin the Warlock.
He appears to be a Dark Elf.
He is tall and has a gaunt frame. He appears to be ancient. He has brooding steel grey eyes and dark skin. He has shoulder length, flowing silver hair. He has a featureless white porcelain mask fully covering his face and a spider-shaped birthmark on his wrist.
He is in good shape.
He is holding an etched dark urnon longsword in his right hand.
He is wearing a pale white chambray greatcloak, a luxurious snow white cape, some luxurious ivory white gloves, some white studded leather, a pair of black imflass gauntlets, a trio of plaited cream suede belts, a white leather sheath, a white leather sheath, some pale white pants, and a pair of ivory leather boots.

(Xorus holds a black steel dagger to Lylia’s neck.)

You gasp.

Xorus drops a crystalline prism.

Nehor dryly says, “The assassin makes his presence known.”

Xorus just limped through an ebonwood doorway.

Brutish adopts an agreeable expression.

A snow white raven suddenly releases an ear-piercing shriek!

You lay the back of one hand against the upper portion of your mask and tilt your head back slightly, feigning distress.

Ysharra says, “You are far more terrifying than some jeweler’s pimple-faced failed councilmen-son.”

Chaoswynd amusedly says, “How very appropriate.”

Leafiara raises her voice in merry laughter.

You cry, “Rone!”

Leafiara fondly says, “I love it.”

Nehor informs, “Though you are bit less…monologue-y than he was.”

Layers of mist shift and drift slowly around a blurred somber grey shadowling.

Speaking to you, Ysharra says, “It’s a good effect, he’s even got the vapors. I mean, mists.”

Eiliriel chuckles.

Melikor says, “Hrm.”

Fog swirls and eddies about the room.

Speaking to Ysharra, you quip, “I often have that effect.”

Later, he reappeared in more fog and suddenly mock attacked Marijka, and then later did it again when Cruxophim showed up.

There may have been some mocking maudlin monologue about music being dead now that Lana is gone.

Cruxophim licks Ysharra’s cheek sloppily. Yuck!

Cruxophim smacks his lips.

Ysharra stares at Cruxophim.

Cruxophim nods approvingly at Ysharra.

Speaking deeply to Ysharra, Xorus says, “He is in need of justice.”

Speaking to Xorus, Ysharra says, “You’re the spirit of vengeance. Get in there.”

Cruxophim beckons Xorus toward him with a fancy flourish of the hand.

Cruxophim raises his voice in merry laughter.

Speaking to Xorus, Ysharra says, “Start rooting about until you find something that wriggles and cries.”

Cruxophim glances down.

From behind Cruxophim, Xorus’s voice deeply says, “I am over here now.”

Cruxophim rubs his stomach.

Ysharra chuckles.

Speaking regretfully to Ysharra, Cruxophim laments, “I don’t think there’s any such at the moment. Pity, really.”

Cruxophim turns around.

Cruxophim turns to face Xorus.

Xorus waves an etched dark urnon longsword at Cruxophim.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Ysharra says, “I have some faith in the White Shadow to find something to make you crawl.”

Cruxophim punches the air around him with his articulated gauntlets, striking a threatening pose as the blood on his gauntlets glistens in the light.

Cruxophim moves into a defensive stance, ready to fend off an attack.

Ysharra glances between Cruxophim and Xorus.

Ysharra smiles.

Speaking dryly to Ysharra, Cruxophim chides, “Your faith is woefully misplaced, then.”

(Xorus clutches his side with his black gauntlets.)

Cruxophim sets about preparing Xorus to be as presentable as possible.

Ysharra says, “Xorus Crossbow to the gut. Best go see Leafiara.”

Cruxophim clutches his black silk shirt tightly.

Cruxophim falls over.

Ysharra coughs.

You raise your voice at Ysharra in merry laughter.

Cruxophim struggles to stand, but fails.

Speaking to you, Ysharra asks, “You can fix that, right?”

Marijka pulls Cruxophim to his feet.

Cruxophim flails his arms about.

Cruxophim falls over.

Cruxophim clutches his chest in mock horror.

You nod eagerly at Ysharra.

Cruxophim closes his eyes for a moment.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Lylia says, “Careful. If you aid that villain, you may be called a traitor yourself.”

Cruxophim’s eyes cloud over with dark shadows as he prepares a spell…

Cruxophim gestures.

Cruxophim springs upright with amazing agility!

Speaking bemusedly to Lylia, Cruxophim quips, “Never bothered me before, why start now?”

Cruxophim snickers.

Xorus deeply exclaims, “Leafiara puts the tree in treason. My most faithful accomplice!”

I <3 every person in this exchange. I thought I’d laugh myself into a seizure. Great event, much fun!

Ysharra says, “One day, I’m going to have “What?” inscribed on your tombstone, with lots of helpful punctuation.”
