Posted within the Lobby of Moot Hall is a Public Notice, written in pale ink on a glossy black parchment; unlike prior such notices, however, it appears to have been penned by a distinctly less steady hand, and written in a visibly less meticulous manner than usual. Faint droplets of odd rust-colored marring are visible one corner. The Notice is dated for the 17th of Eorgean in the Year 5117, and reads as follows:

Esteemed Citizens and Allies of the Landing,
Once more, we now stand victorious against the enemies of the Landing, thanks to the collective efforts of every individual — from a Deacon of the Church of Koar, to the Black Diabolist himself — who helped to defend our town and slay our adversaries. My gratitude to you all… citizens, Militia, allies, passer-bys, and even sworn enemies alike. Truly, we have once more proven the power of what coordinated effort can bring.
Let all enemies of the Landing take note, that they might think twice of the cost before attempting such again.
It is my understanding that Sir Bristenn Mires aided in the defense of our citizens in the caverns beneath the Outpost, despite Dennet’s cowardly attempt to use them as hostages. My thanks to the many others who swiftly assisted in excavating them during the critical period in which they were trapped. Dennet’s plan to transfuse Reannah’s psyche into the body of Captain Shinann against their protestations ultimately failed, due to the aid of Rodnay and many others who quickly destroyed the underground pylons empowering his efforts. In a spectacular twist of poetic irony, Dennet himself perished — impaled by a large sliver of falling stone — and died in the arms of the woman he so misguidedly tried to save, who was also symbolically crushed by the same stone.
On the subject of Rodnay, let me remind whatever individual saw fit to fire upon him — especially with so many other hostile targets readily available — that such actions are not to be tolerated. While I leave such in the rightful hands of the Militia, it is my expectation that said individual will face the appropriate punishment for attempted murder of a citizen… especially one who lent us aid in such a dire hour. While I understand that war often breeds desperate measures, this was no doubt an opportunistic act driven solely by fear and prejudice. Remember that Rodnay is one of our citizens; regardless of your distrust of him, he is no less welcome than any other citizen, and no doubt fought to save the loved ones of many of you… perhaps even those of this selfish individual. How soon we forget, even fresh in the wake of Chaston Griffin, what bitter fruits discrimination and prejudice bring.
As mentioned, Dennet’s nefarious efforts were ultimately unsuccessful. For those concerned about Captain Shinann, we will continue to monitor her health and psyche for any signs of danger, but it is my early assessment that she may merely be suffering from a partial fugue state as a result of the failed transfusion procedure; it is my hope that with time, these artificial impressions (those of Reannah) upon her psyche will dissipate — if they have not already, I’ve received no word as of late — and that she will be fit to return to duty whenever she is ready. We will, of course, follow this up to ensure her health and well-being.
Stephos DeArchon has delivered to me the burned journal once belonging to Naimorai, discovered with Andrew’s corpse, in which she confesses to many of the misdeeds suspected of her, including — but not limited to — the murder of Sir Michol, the framing of Hapenlok for such, the kidnapping and gruesome murder of Lana, and intimations of the poisoning of Drandea from the shadows. In an interesting turn, the journal also reveals Naimorai’s intent to escape under the alias of Rachel, her mother’s middle name; during the chaos of the assault, however, Naimorai was thrust back in time through a temporal rift to Toullaire of centuries ago, where she is presumed to have been trapped. However, we now also suspect her to be none other than the blood witch known as Raznel, whose powers Naimorai’s may have eventually grown to match over the many long centuries, and whose given name we now know — through Pylasar — to also be “Rachel”. I hope to confirm this with Pylasar himself when he returns, and will be releasing the contents of the journal to the public once other more urgent matters have been attended to.
Now that these facts have come to light, it is my recommendation to Judge Renpaw that the case of Drandea’s murder be closed, with Naimorai presumed to be the guilty party, and that Kayse be fully acquitted of all charges. I offer my apologies to her for the period of incarceration she had to endure, but also my thanks for her willing and peaceful cooperation.
Last but certainly not least, I once again offer my humble thanks to all of those who braved the onslaught to defend our town and its people during that dark hour. I have requested that emergency supplies — rations, medical aid, emergency shelter — be distributed to the afflicted as needed; take your well-deserved rest now, Landing… and we soon will redouble our efforts to not only rebuild our town, but to improve it and safeguard it further against any future such calamities.
Unsteadily Signed and Sealed,
Cruxophim, Mayor of Wehnimer’s Landing

The Mayor has not been reported as available or seen last evening, with instructions delivered by messenger only; some reported unusual behavior on his part after the events of the evening of the 16th, but opinions seem to vary wildly on what manner of behavior might be considered “unusual” for the Mayor.
