Subj: Mayor's Minutes [RE: WANTED, and a Missive to Judge Renpaw].

Posted within the Lobby of Moot Hall is a Public Notice, written in pale ink on a glossy black parchment. The Notice is dated for the 7th of Eorgean in the Year 5117, and reads as follows:

WANTED: A member of the Militia by the name of “Andrew”, being sought for questioning in connection to the fatal poisoning of Drandea that occurred in the Hearth of the Stone Baths. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Last confirmed sighting at the location of the act, with unconfirmed sightings in the vicinity of Helga’s and the Historical Society on Valeria Street. Please report any sightings or other information to your local militia.

He is not wanted Dead or Alive; repeat, he is not wanted Dead or Alive. Alive is preferable.

A missive addressed to Judge Renpaw, written in pale ink on a glossy black stationery and sealed by the official Mayoral signet in crimson wax:

Honorable Judge Renpaw,

Currently on your docket is a case relating to the fatal poisoning of Drandea, deceased matron of the Kestrel family presently occupying the Hendoran Outpost south of town. [See: Report T50.901A]

Regarding this, Kayse Thaellian is currently the primary suspect being held by the Militia. In this matter, I will attest that she has demonstrated nothing but full cooperation and compliance to the law. While the common consensus is that she is not guilty of this charge, Captain Shinann Autura has done her due diligence in taking the suspect into custody despite her own personal agreement with this sentiment. The suspect herself was witnessed attempting to administer an antidote to the afflicted, though the attempt was unsuccessful. Further evidence of this poison and a positive match to the antidote (See: Submitted Evidence) can be found in the coroner’s report, which I’m sure has been forwarded to you as well.

As acting Mayor, it is my recommendation that the Suspect be provisionally released on her own recognizance — or barring that, released upon payment of bail — until the case proceeds, or further evidence comes to light. She has proven to be a valuable and trustworthy ally to our town, and as I’m sure you are quite aware, we are in dire need of such at present. I will testify to the strength and sincerity of her character, although I am sure many would volunteer to do the same if needed. We hope to acquire more evidence in this investigation soon, and she has no discernible motive in this heinous crime, nor has she demonstrated any propensity for fleeing justice despite having had ample opportunity to do so.

Should you require bail in your decision, I will post such on her behalf if necessary.
